She is not denying there was a *message* just that she didn't get a TEXT message. She could have a FB message.
And she is not confirming there was any message, text or otherwise. ;-)
I do not sense that as word gaming from TG. The context of the report is regarding "text messages", nothing more. TG was responding to that point.
Not that we may broad stroke common sense to JJR and his actions that evening, why in whatever reason would JJR send a message to TG indicating he had kidnapped her daughter? Did he want to be sent back to jail? Good food? Three hots and a cot? He supposedly already had that at TG's.
As I had commented previously ... I believe this was a crime of opportunity, planned or otherwise, that JJR succumbed to an evil desire. I suspect he had no desire to inform anyone of his crime hence, his Wal-Mart shopping spree during the wee hours of the morning and initial denials to LE.
