JR's next hearing is October 28 but I'm not sure what it's for. Maybe to see if the prosecution will seek the DP?

The trial is expected to begin in September or October 2015 - later if it becomes a DP case. Why the long wait?

This is the first time I have seen anything regarding mental health evaluation for the accused (does make sense though). It amazes me that it should cost $10K though. You would think the prison system or the county health people would have someone who could do that without much delay or $10K if the professional is on County payroll to begin with KWIM? I did find something that could definitely affect Justin's mental health at this time. I did find news links now that echo your link - such as this one:

Apparently the LE officials are aware of death threats directed towards JR:

"Jail Commander Don Bischoff said phone call traffic monitored at the jail picked up chatter triggering concern for Rector’s safety. “We are aware of threats on his life,” Bischoff said following the arraignment. Wow! So there was a barbecue, according to this article. The paper has to be fairly recent as it reports on the hearing about cameras in the courtroom. Do you have an actual copy of the paper? What does it say on page 3?

Argh! I wanna know!

Additional money would be needed if McPhillips does seek the death penalty or if the case is not resolved any time soon. McPhillips still has not decided whether or not to seek the death penalty against Rector, waiting until DNA results come back from the FBI labs.

So they're still waiting on DNA results? I assume that's to determine whether or not JR sexually assaulted Bella.

I hope Ontario mom is right but who the heck knows. I have a feeling that this new girl isn't all that new and the pregnancy umm...
I don't want to get in trouble but with this news I have developed a horrible theory that I hope isn't correct but could all this have been meant to be a fake kidnapping gone wrong in the hope of holding on to something. Maybe I watch too much TV but something is forming and it doesn't feel right. Nothing about this has felt right from the start. Those poor children stuck in the middle of all this drama and throw in drugs madness.

I unjoined the one group that I had joined only because I was starting to have nightmares about the people in the group (not kidding). I'm glad I unjoined. Those people were creepy.

I unjoined for a very similar reason. I just couldn't get them out of my head. I just think their lifestyle is so very different from mine (TG,JJR,RF, and so many of the Bullhead residents who posted on that page) that it scares me, it almost makes me feel childlike and unprotected. I don't know how to explain it but I had to stop reading there.

I don't know how to explain it but I had to stop reading there.

I'm right there with you! This case has been an eye opener for me in terms of the drug culture in the U.S.. I previously thought I was oh-so-knowledgeable about this stuff but now I realize I'm a babe in the woods.

When I look at my three daughters I can't help but think it's only by sheer luck that they've all grown into fine, healthy, successful young women. It seems that drugs like meth can capture anyone and put them into a tailspin of misery. I can't begin to imagine life in such an environment. And I'm glad for that.
