We never heard a follow up on all the evidence they found at the home. The mattress section, bleach stained towel, jeans, child's underwear, 'brown' stains....

It certainly looked like there was MUCH more to this story. I contend that these arrests are a way for LE to elicit more info. It was no secret that this house was a hot-bed of drug activity and after the initial searches, the tips pouring in about the residents activities and drug connections, it's not like LE didn't have enough to arrest them on any number of charges. I theorize that they wanted a big enough charge to scare them into divulging their involvement.

The fact that RF seemed scared enough of this arrest as opposed to any other of his past arrests adds to my theory that they know that this is bigger than just drugs.

Agreed and then some. This is way bigger than the drugs IMO.
And what the heck I'm lol at Ralphys diversion tactics.

Gosh, that might explain any hesitation at calling LE the moment they knew an 8 year old child was missing in the middle of the night. Might also explain the amnesia about who Bella might have been with.

Imagine the 911 call:

Operator: So you lost her at the Wal-Mart...

RF: No no no. We smoked Meth all day, then we went to Walmart and left the kids home with my mom, who ALSO smoked meth. We left Bella at home, getting ready for bed in the living room where Justin Rector also sleeps, when he's not buying or smoking meth from us.

Operator: What does her sister say?

RF: She says that after we left, Justin Rector was playing hide and seek with them. As unrelated felons do. After he smoked meth in our house all day. Now he's gone too, come to think of it. Probably a co-inky-dink.

Operator: Do you have any idea where she might be?

RF: Nope. No idea. No names of adult people who were at the house all day, but are no longer at the house, come to mind...

Operator: Where's the mom?

RF: Hiding paraphernalia and any evidence of our meth and heroine distribution business. Why do you ask?

 Thanks, I needed that!

If they decided to make a modern Laurel and Hardy film.. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have our cast.

What gets me is why was he so worried about 'drug' charges? He's been inside on them before. He was arrested just a few months ago as well. I am wondering if he was high and assumed they were there to get him on Bella....paranoia, hence the stand off. It would've been easy for him to see online that it was drugs after a while, maybe that's why he came out willingly (that and snipers :D ). I just don't 'get' the dramatics because of drugs. This wasn't his first rodeo. JMO

he is already facing felony charges for having a gun while prohibited and he has a gun again ((whoa boy - big trouble??)) and now trafficking in heroin?....me thinks that is a big math problem a lot of years

Personally I believe RF has more reasons than the drugs charges to be worried. I believe he was abusing Bella. This is just my opinion not based on any facts just bits and pieces from this case. Things don't add up. The way she was found, SA hasn't been ruled out yet Justin hasn't been charged, RFs behavior during and since and the fact he created such a scene about being arrested. JMO.

bbm -- in a normal world -- I agree things don't add up at all

imagine:

being married to someone only a couple of months and your child is murdered
less than a month later after you are married, new hubby is busted for weapons charges while prohibited
three months after you have married him, he's got a new girlfriend and you are trafficking drugs for him??

wild...........

Maybe they got married because they thought it would protect them from having to testify against each other?

Was it ever verified that it was a legal marriage?

Additional money would be needed if McPhillips does seek the death penalty or if the case is not resolved any time soon. McPhillips still has not decided whether or not to seek the death penalty against Rector, waiting until DNA results come back from the FBI labs.

So they're still waiting on DNA results? I assume that's to determine whether or not JR sexually assaulted Bella.

It makes me feel sick even thinking about this, but they may be awaiting DNA results to see HOW MANY people sexually assaulted Bella...

I have never seen DNA or SA results take this long. I contend that they are firming up testimony and plugging any holes in the case. If I was the Defense Lawyer, I would certainly be looking at the other adults in the household as alternate suspects or co-conspirators. Perhaps that is why these arrests are taking place now - to use these charges against them to elicit the actual facts surrounding that night. There are two many loopholes for the Defense to use as it stands. It would be very hard to win a death penalty case with so many variables. JMO.

it was in July of this year in Las Vegas and it is in the first thread (I believe).....moo

This video is a must watch. Thank you for posting it. I was in :tears: before it was over. LE and locals interviewed confirmed our worst fears about the living conditions, and Bella being observed going hungry and asking for food. :furious:

Bella was crying out for love and attention before her murder. The same can likely be said for her sister. They weren't the top priority in the home. :moo:

:waiting: for additional charges to be filed, and full accountability for the harm done here. Bella is gone forever. May she, and those who are putting the pieces of their lives back together without her shining light, have maximum :justice:

:judge:

:rose:

:candle:

bbm

The video describes Bella's home life, bedbugs and all so yes, thank you - I wouldn't have watched it otherwise. :)

True justice for Bella would be that she was still alive and in the care of someone who loved her. Since that can never be, I'll settle for second best, so:

Thank you BCPD for bringing justice to the next phase! Well done on your part.

With these arrests I guess we can finally express some of our opinions about how the people in Bella's life not only failed her as caretakers but contributed to the circumstances which allowed JR access to her.

Yet another “good” mother turns out not to be.

Mom, stepdad an grandma are awful people.

That odd 911 call makes sense now. So does the timing.

Most of us knew these people should be arrested.

I'm eagerly awaiting them ratting out each other.

There's more to come, I'm sure of it.

Ahh, I feel much better now.

There's a screenshot of the marriage certificate on Ralphy's FB page, dated July 18. I'm surprised his page is still up. So is his girlfriend's.

And mommy dearest's mugshot shows her wearing a shirt that says "Family"... like that means anything to her when it comes to her kids... NOT! It must be for her drug family that she sells to and uses with.
LOSER!!!

I wasn't sure it had been verified until I saw a copy on Facebook. They were married mid July.

I hope LE or the ME ordered tests to see if meth showed up in Bella's or her sister's systems. My understanding is that it can be detected in the hair of children exposed to meth.

"Meth lab chemicals can be absorbed through contact with the skin, a danger that occurs both from cooking meth and from storing chemical ingredients. The effects of taking these toxic materials into the body through inhalation or absorption may be temporary or permanent, immediate or delayed, mild or severe, and can injure the lungs and skin, liver and kidneys and the nervous system."

https://www.azag.gov/meth

Even though I'm not surprised by the arrests I'm thoroughly disgusted that Bella's family cared so little for her and her sister that they gave themselves permission to put them in danger. I no longer care about the effects that drugs can have on a person's personality - theirs, JR's or anyone else's. The facts are that the first use is a choice made by the person and if that choice leads to a tragic ending then in my book they must face the consequences.

Obviously Bella's death didn't cause Tania to take stock of her life and think about making changes in order to mother her remaining children - she's made her choice and needs to be taken out of society.

Oh, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one scratching their head when reading the tweet about grandma feeling sooo bad about being asleep that night. Liars, all of them are liars!

In addition to the drug charges, Grogan is being investigated for leaving her children in a dangerous environment and for supplying methamphetamine to Rector.

This section of the article makes me wonder if JJR has made a statement. How else would they deduce that TG was the one who gave him the drugs he claims were responsible for his crimes? Obviously it's not a stretch to figure out, but the fact that they are *specifically* linking TG to JJR and the events that evening tells me he may have talked. JMO.
