I know this is rumour and sorry if I shouldn't post, but this just breaks my heart even more. According to several posts on the FB groups. Roxy, Bella's dog has had to be put to sleep because a home couldn't be found for her/him :( :tears:

Someone rescued her in the nick of time! She's got a nice new home now.

Interesting that DNA results could determine if this will be a capital case. It's not yet clear if it's for additional evidence that Rector was the perp or if LE is waiting to see if he sexually assaulted Bella. If the latter then I hope the results are negative; LWOP is fine with me if it means Bella was spared additional pain. :(

Nothing new and no news yet on the rest of the gang.

Chief Public Defender Harry Moore said he has received several hundred pages of evidence from prosecutors all of which he has yet to go through. Moore also said the state lab still has not completed the DNA results, which could change the case to a capital case.

If they are working on DNA, does that not imply they have found other than her own DNA on her person, in her person, or on her clothing?

I mean, they would be trying to match DNA sample taken from a perp/perps to a DNA sample found on Bella, correct?

I'm with you, I really hope she wasn't sexually abused/ molested/assaulted. Between the lifestyle she was forced to live, and her death, that poor child suffered far too much as it is.

That being said, the lab must be looking at something. At this point, they must know whether or not they even have foreign DNA to analyze, IMO.

That's the reasonable assumption but so far no information has been released at all about what (if any) DNA has been already tested. IOW, if the lab has Bella's DNA profile then yes, that implies they also found foreign DNA and are waiting to see if it matches Rector.

The long delay makes me wonder if the lab is using alternate test methods due to state of decomposition, or worse, that they have more than one foreign DNA sample. All this waiting is making me crazy and now to hear that the prosecution has hundreds of pages of evidence... I'm trying hard to keep my suspicions in check. KWIM?

Right there with you! I have an awful feeling and don't really want to go there.. and I hope I am way WAY off base but then this case sends us more shockwaves so.. *sigh*

When the 'base' is in the center of a cesspool, it's hard not to ask, "What wouldn't they subject a child to?"

I have always had a terrible feeling that there is so much more to Bella's life and death. I pray I'm wrong.

It makes no sense to me for results of DNA to take this long especially when we are dealing with the murder of a child and the transient nature of the people that spent time in her world.

I would have thought that a RUSH would have been put on those samples so LE could get their hands on whoever was responsible if it was anyone other than Rector.

I'm still missing something on the sexual assault angle on this one. Was she or wasn't she? LE knows. So why is it a secret? What are we missing?

I've seen some rumours on FB. Obviously can't discuss them but just with the details of the horrific conditions that Bella and her sister had to live in it makes me angry that these children were ever returned to Tania. I don't think Grandma Sue will ever get over the loss of Bella. It's time people like TG and Colton Turner's mother were told "No, this is not acceptable, you cannot have your children."

It is odd to me that they are still waiting for DNA results after this long. I hope something awful isn't coming but like many of you I have a bad feeling. I hope the full and true story behind all of this will eventually come out and I believe LE is working hard to ensure Bella gets the justice she deserves because she sure didn't get it when she was alive.

i'm thinking that they have not got enough dna evidence....jmho....taking too long if they had good samples it could be quick.....remember FBI was involved.....in the case of Jenise Wright Bremerton they had dna matched within a week then the arrest

You could be right. Which would be horrible if they can tell she was assaulted, but not enough DNA to pin it to the correct person.

But then again, in the case of Zachary Dunn (Ohio-6 year old female found alive), they arrested him for the kidnapping in July. And though she was found naked, and surely her sexual assault was obvious to the doctors who examined her, he was not charged with sexual assault for two months.

6 year old abducted July 26th, Zach arrested that night.

Indictment for rape September 26th (and this was the first news media confirmation of rape, up until then, LE and the media made it seem like they were still trying to determine whether she'd been assaulted.)

In the case of Zach Dunn, the victim was alive and alert, aware, so I think they were very confident in initially charging him in kidnapping, (witness saw him on the porch with her before they both disappeared) but LE waited until ZD's DNA came back to present all of it to the grand jury.

In this case, while it might just be they don't have enough DNA, or there just isn't any they can find, it could also be that they have JR off the streets and the other child out of that house, so the DNA comes back when the DNA comes back. JR isn't going anywhere.

Honestly, I don't understand why they just don't go for capital murder anyway--rape or no. I believe her age alone makes it a capital offense in Arizona, does it not?

Could be that there is more than one source for "foreign" DNA, and that they are having to test multiple sources to determine exactly whose DNA they have? Oh yuck! Horrible to even think that.

I pray that this is not the case but I guess it's possible.

This was what I said previously...I don't think they're trying to find out IF she was assaulted, I think they're trying to find out BY HOW MANY.
