I think they need to start charging the mothers as well.

If she's not put away-- she'll just pick up another man to abuse her surviving children.
It's a vicious cycle and the babies and children are the ones who are paying the price.

Left with mom's boyfriend and what a surprise-- he couldn't handle it.
And sorry-- but why the flipping F. was HE not the one working ?

*Status Conference & Plea Hearing (@ 11:30am MT) - AZ – Ivan Escobedo (4 mos.) (Dec. 16, 2018, died Dec. 22, 2018, Tucson) - *Nicholes Liggens (19/now 20) arrested (12/17/18) with 2 counts of felony child abuse (1 for victim & 3 yr. old sibling). Recharged (12/22/18 when Ivan died) with 1 count of 1st degree murder, 2 counts of additional charges of felony child abuse for injuries to 3 yr. old sibling & 1 count of felony child abuse (non-life threatening) to 2 yr. old sibling. $1,050K bond.
Mom left babies with Liggens while she worked.
1/27/20 Update: Status conference & Plea hearing on 2/10/20.

Also found this article that says he did plead guilty on February 10th
