BBM

This case is starting to lose momentum.

Where is this little girl?

Just did a quick google search and nothing in the news today either

We won't hear whether Jerice passed the LDT from LE. But I willing to bet my starbucks that if she does pass, she or Gma will be shouting it from the rooftops

Sweet J, we'll not forget you here at WS.

Just how her mom wants it.

Just think, this is exactly what Scott Peterson, Casey Anthony, and so many other perps have thought would happen. They never imagined that anyone would care what happened to Laci and Caylee and Stacy and Nancy and Susan and Zahra.

The absolute difference is someone in the family who keeps the case front and center. You can rage all you want about the media and race and sex, but what it boils down to is having something to report. Sharon Rocha was NOT going to let Laci be forgotten.

Grandma had plenty of airtime while she was talking, but she sure shut up quick when someone pointed out that she helped give those kids back to Jerice. (IMHO)

Who will speak for Jhessye? Who will hold up her picture and demand phone records and taxi logs to help firm up a timeline? Who will make sure we remember?

I did not want to believe that this mother did something to her baby, but her silence is deafening.

I hope the cousins will become more vocal. They seem to be the only ones who are truly concerned about Jhessye with no other hidden agendas.

I'm afraid she's gone. With reports of not being in school for almost 2 weeks...then this "kidnapping" story. I'm scared of what really happened her. Would anyone have noticed the mom taking out big bags or boxes to the dumpster, if they didn't know J was gone? :(

Sources inside the Shockley family tell CBS 5 News that Jhessye wasn't in school for a week and a half before she disappeared.

Family members say Jhessye's mother, Jerice Hunter, told the school Jhessye had ringworm.

Police said Monday the girl's mother is not a suspect.

Glendale police Det. Jeff Daukas tells CBS 5 Hunter's polygraph test has not yet been scheduled. Daukas says it will be conducted by the FBI or Glendale police.

Meanwhile, Jhessye's aunt confirmed with CBS 5 that Child Protective Services took Hunter's baby after she gave birth late last month.

Bump for Jhessye

Every link I can find is regurgitating the same old info about Jhessye not being in school for 10 days as if it's breaking news.

They also all say that the LDT hasn't been scheduled, but it's hard to say how current this is.

Where are you Jhessye???

Frustrating isn't it angelmom?

Sadly, I think it may be a while until something comes to light.

Is anyone else surprised we haven't heard from Gma? Strangely silent ...

I'm wondering if Grandma arrived in town to find she is in a whole heap of trouble herself.
She went to a CPS meeting and was told she could NOT discuss CPS proceedings......
Grandma then proceeds goes on the Peas In Their Pods radio show to blast CPS for ripping a newborn child from mommy's arms and basically accused them of trying to cause a mental breakdown so they can close the case and just blame Mom.

I'm thinking CPS isn't too happy with her

I'm wondering if G'ma and some of the other defenders have realized how foolish they look.

It reminds me of Cindy A being so nasty and telling people to get off their @$$ and look for her granddaughter. Really makes you want to help her, doesn't it???

I just wish someone would stand up for Jhessye.

I believe that in cases like this, where a child from an undeniably abusive homelife is reported "missing" that opinions have aleady formed. It is difficult to ask people to search, because I think the majority of people who have read all they can about Jhessye don't believe she just disappeared. If she had missed a week and a half of school prior to her reported missing date, that could put her witness verification date back to September. A trail already gone cold, an all too familiar story of a girl missing from a home with an abusive parent. The mother had spent time in jail for beating her children with belts and cords, punching them with fists, leaving scars. The boyfriend she hooked up with also joined in and dealt out blows. It makes it so difficult to believe that if you search the right place you will find this girl still alive. When horrific abuse is part of the environment, it dims the chances of a happy ending to an already sad, outrageous situation. One can put up posters depicting a bright, happy, pretty little girl, a real cutie pie. But looking beyond that poster lies possible scenes of horror. I believe something happened that was too hard to cover up, therefore the cover-up entails covering up a crime scene, and a small lifeless body.
I think of this little girl often, and hope that by some miracle she is found, alive and unharmed - but my head is telling me it is too late, was too late from day one of a missing child report.
IMHO

How is this possible? I am praying that this little girl doesn't just disappear into the long lost WS threads with no resolution. I hate those cases!!!

How can she just vanish? What is her mother doing to find Jhessye?

Where's Grandma? What happened to her vow to find Jhessye?

I do not get these people.

Exactly! Wanting national attention, getting it (AMW even), and then go into hiding? I don't get this . . .
