I have to admit...when Jerice looked at the camera and said "momma's coming to get you" it sounded like something out of a scary movie to me.

Oh me too!!!! Sent shivers down my spine, it sounded more like a threat. I still cant get that visual of her beating the sibling with an extension cord out of my mind. :-(

She's definitely setting up an alibi there with the blood pressure, very confrontational.

I don't know what the purpose of having an attorney at a polygraph test would be. I mean, it's an attorney's purpose to keep you from answering incriminating questions like "do you know where Jhessye is" but those questions are the whole point of the polygraph exam. You're supposed to answer those questions honestly and straightforwardly so there would be no need to negotiate the answers with an attorney.

Maybe she wants the attorney there to calm her down, to feel that someone in the room is on her side. But if the attorney is needed to veto some questions there is a problem imo.

I don't really believe this case is going cold. I think LE is getting their evidence together and just not shouting about it from the rooftops. Maybe we've all learned some things from Caylee.

As much as I gobbled up every shred of info released under the sunshine laws, I have to admit now that it hurt the case. JB had way too long to come up with excuses and alternate theories, to dig up dirt on prosecution witnesses and take the temperature of potential jurors through social media.

My cousin, who is in LE, and I had a big discussion about this while the jury was still out. He felt very strongly that this was BAD for the case, while I truly believed that it helped everyone know for sure that Casey was guilty. He assured me that it was never good for a case to have your info out there, even as I was complaining about LE going quiet in the Kyron Horman case.

What happens with Kyron remains to be seen, but we all know what happened with Caylee's case. We have to remember that most of the news generated by Caylee and other high profile cases does not come from LE, but from the families (for good or bad) and has never that I can think of helped recover a child any faster or solved the case. Even with Laci, which I think is an example of positive media use, Laci and Conner were found by accident, and so are most other victims.

WTH is the hold up on the poly? Jerice supposedly has begged for one, LE is ready to give her one, so why is scheduling this such an issue?

Praying hard for you baby girl!!!

really getting disgusted with the no word thing. No news, no breaks (that we are privy to at least), no progress it seems. Very frustrating.

This case combined with little Aliayah over in WV are just killing me with the lack of uproar and media coverage.

And now I see we have a few more new threads of yet more newly missing children. Just so sad.

Where is this precious baby girl.

Is Jerice still begging LE for that LDT? She demands to have her attorney present before she can answer any questions. What does that tell you. This gal has been fighting the law for years. She is itching for a excuse to portray herself as the scapegoat, and she is willing to fan the flames of racial prejudice. Her "speech" was prepared before she opened her mouth for the interview. I don't know if sweet little Jhessye will ever be found, she may have been missing longer than the reported date. Sadly, her mother appears to be focused only on keeping herself out of jail.

Glendale police 'hopeful' Jhessye will be located alive

Glendale police released the following statement on the investigation.

It's very important to the Glendale Police Department to reassure the community that our investigators are still working every day, diligently, on the disappearance of 5-year-old Jhessye Shockley from her Glendale home on October 11, 2011. We are encouraging anyone listening, no matter where you reside, to be hyper-aware of your surroundings. It's important to look for and report anything out of the ordinary involving a 5-year-old black child near where they live, work or shop; something that's different than what might have been occurring just prior to Jhessye being reported missing 35 days ago. Investigators need to hear from you.

The investigators and other support personnel working this case are still hopeful that law enforcement will locate Jhessye alive, and our commitment hasn't wavered in the least. Although we cannot speak to specifics of our investigation, if and when we have new information that would be useful to the community and would not compromise our investigation, we will come forward with it. We continue to encourage anyone with any information that might help us find Jhessye to call 480 WITNESS or 911.

Friday marked one month since 5-year-old Jhessye Shockley was reported missing, and authorities on Monday said there are still no new significant leads or suspects in the case.

Sgt. Brent Coombs, a spokesman for Glendale police, said the agency has made progress but is not ready to disclose any new information.

The department on Tuesday issued a statement that "if and when we have new information that would be useful to the community and would not compromise our investigation, we will come forward with it."

Coombs said police have been in contact with Jerice Hunter, the girl's mother, for several weeks about taking a polygraph test, but no hard date has been set.

My dh could never get his head around this either...he didn't understand how it was possible, law or not, that all info was available..to everybody:waitasec:

Does cousin have missing Glendale girl Jhessye Shockley?
Read more: http://www.abc15.com/dpp/news/regio...-glendale-girl-jhessye-shockley#ixzz1dzTjwCXP

Her grandmother, Shirley Johnson, told ABC15 a cousin might have taken the girl.
According to Johnson, the cousin cared for Jhessye as the girl's mother served time in prison.

Seriously? Does anyone believe that LE hasn't checked these people out upside down and sideways??? :banghead:

***Sorry Lynnb...my frustration is with the media portraying this as a "break" in the case, not directed at you. :blowkiss:
