Yeah, well its not the kind of screaming "mommy" that gives us a warm, fuzzy feeling! In her interview when she promised (threatened) that "Mommy was coming for them" I almost crapped my pants! (sorry) She is downright scary!

I'm hoping that this means they are SO close to arresting her for murder that they don't even want to deal with the hassle of consolidating the cases down the road?? I don't know... I doubt there's any "if we follow her around she might lead us to the body" strategy in this case, as there's no reason to think she wouldn't have done that sometime in the last month if she were going to.

Gitana's idea makes sense also, but only if they think the murder charges are NOT going to be filed for quite a while, and only if there's some evidence being held back that they don't want Jerice to know about yet.

Police added, "…the focus and direction of the investigation into the disappearance of Jhessye Shockley has not changed."
Hunter could still be indicted on the child abuse charge.

That landfill could be buried under a foot of snow in upcoming weeks....what is the wait?

The decision to arrest is made by the police, not by prosecutors.

I personally am glad they are waiting to pinpoint the landfill search areas.... (re: get the exact dates the other kids last saw Jhesseye)...

I think back to the Andrew Compton landfill search... and they had very specific info to go on down to what sort of box to look for and never found Andrew. I think the more info they are able to develop the better

That's what I thought at first, but what threw me was the statement that foregoing the abuse charges enables them to pursuse other leads. To me, that suggests a murder charge isn't imminent. So unless they're absolutely sure they can charge her with murder, why not charge her with abuse?

I think the second option might be the answer. LE has something they don't want to be forced to reveal until they've had a chance to play out the investigation.
