Poor, poor Jerice. No one cares about poor little Jerice, the downtrodden victim and Mother of The Year. So much for using the opportunity to plead for her daughter's safe return!

Hunter said nothing about Jhessye even though she was pressed about her situation. She continued to rail about the media and said she would not be saying anything to the media. Hunter was heard complaining to someone about the jail, saying it was a horrible place and the food was bad.

What Jerice, you were expecting the Four Seasons?

could it have been to let her know that they are on her 6 (as we say in the military)?

Perhaps LE made the decision to arrest Jerice for abuse before they had grounds to go after murder charges. Since her arrest, others might've started talking and provided the new leads that LE now wants to pursue.

Based on 15 years of experience with the AZ foster care system, I would say there is no chance they were notified. On the other hand, JH hopefully, if everything has been handled properly, does not know where the foster homes are located.

Thanks to our resident atty experts who explained some of the intricacies. I am beginning to calm down now.

So hopeful that they are close to filing murder charges or indicting her via GJ.

Jerice may have been evicted from her apartment while she was in jail. I'm not an attorney, but iirc, Arizona law allows a 24 hour eviction in certain situations. One unofficial site says "only in situations created by the tenant that threaten the health, safety, and welfare of themselves or others."

I could be wrong, but I believe the landlord could evict her for what happened to Jhessye, and if Jerice wanted to dispute it, she would have to go to court to prove the landlord wrong.

My most immediate concern is for her older children. This is going to be a scary and stressful time for them if they hear she is out and about. I hope they feel safe where they are living now. :rose:

She could easily go to their school(s) and pull them out if they weren't forewarned I'm so frightened for them right now. I really don't care what happens to Jerice, but I want to know that those children are being protected like they should have been all along. These poor kids are going to sleep with one eye open for the rest fo their lives-- who can they trust? I realize I'm getting slightly ahead of myself, maybe AZ will keep these kids safe this time. :twocents:

Well, they can't hold her indefinitely without charging her with a crime - and it sounds like as of right now they don't have evidence of a crime. : (

It is extremely rare for a child in foster care in Maricopa County to continue attending the school they attended while in their parents' care. The parents would not be told the name or location of the new school and would not be on the list of people authorized to pick up the kids.
