I wonder if she had an accomplice. I changed my mind on that theory based on the fact that LE seems pretty sure that Jhessye is in Tempe, and they have been following Jerice and her known associates. They know something we don't, obviously, about her movements, and who she was with during those crucial days.

Jerice....you are going down for what you did to your beautiful little girl. Shirley/Susie and all her loud noise won't save you. The only thing that will help you now is to tell LE what happened to Jhessye. Try to redeem yourself at least that much.....

How does it make you feel Jerice, to know that a group of strangers who never met Jhessye care more about her than you do?

The way I am reading this article, it SEEMS like the police know exactly where Jerice put Jhesseye's body.

Quote from the article(snipped by me):
You have to identify things like which truck picked up the trash on a certain day, what time it went to a transfer station, what truck took it out to a landfill That is from the police spokesman.

For them to have an idea of what truck would have picked up the trash, they would have to know which trash container it was, wouldn't they? I imagine a city the size of Tempe would have MANY garbage trucks, and I wouldn't think the police would just go sifting through the landfill, not even knowing where to begin.

Maybe I am just reading it wrong, being too hopeful. But now I do feel that Jerice had an accomplice in disposing of poor little Jhessye. I just can't see her taking a cab to Tempe to do it. It is possible, but I am more inclined to believe that one of her friends helped her. She was also quite pregnant at the time, like almost due, wasn't she? Not that I think that would have stopped her from doing this alone, I just don't think she did.

Also, I bet Jerice thought she was real smart, taking that baby's body to Tempe. I'm quite sure she thought no one would ever figure that out, everyone would be searching around Glendale. Well guess what, Jerice? LE is a whole lot smarter than you.

I hope they can find Jhessye's remains. I know it will be expensive to do this search, but they HAVE to. SHe is a human being, just a little girl. She needs to be found and laid to rest. :(

So while looking around , the light rail may of been the best option especially if she was carrying luggage... right in the middle is sky harbor- if you start at the initial stop off of 19th ave looks like shes going to the airport- and the airport to tempe looks like shes coming from the airport. And during that point in time it wasn't busy around the Tempe campus of ASU they had an away football game at Utah. And it was coming upon a fall break for the weekend.
So campus would be pretty sparse.

Another suggestion I thought of was going to the Escalante Community Center- which provides services such as food(food to take home or just a free meal) and other serivces to get help(such as rehab) it's extremely popular within the homeless and drug community. With word of mouth she would of likely known about it. So if she did just ask a friend for a ride there to get food it would seem acceptable. I live about a block away and looked around, there are roughly 4 dumpsters in the vicinity and they get picked up every other day.
It's also about a foot away from an elementary school as well. Which has many dumpsters as well.

As mentioned before I live in Tempe and the helicopters are going nuts.

PhiercePhi, sounds like you and I share the same zip code. Hello Neighbor! :)

Personally, the more I think about it, the more I doubt that Jerice would use the rail to transport Jhessye's body. I've never ridden the rail, but I've heard that they have (somewhat spotty) security. Jerice doesn't strike me as the type that could remain cool as a cucumber for an hour or so while transporting a body while trying not to attract any attention. Can you imagine how she would react if one of the members of security subjected her to a random ticket check?

I am not sure that she would go to the Escalante Center. But I could be wrong. I thought most of the help available at the Escalante Center was only for Tempe residents? Also, I can't help but wonder why she would seek aid/social services in Tempe when there are so many other places between here and Glendale?

I wonder if LE caught her on a camera somewhere....

Wow, good thinking! I hope you are right! Maybe she was shopping and got caught on video? From what I understand, there are video cameras all over the light rail, so if PhiercePhi's theory is right, then LE would have all sorts of pictures of Jerice and a suitcase.

From the bottom of my heart, I am wishing with all of my might that Jerice rode the light rail into Tempe.

That was my hope. And the Escalante Center "says" they only help tempe residents but they help all kinds of people. I really don't know I was just thinking of areas where lots of people were and it wouldn't be so obvious just because there are a lot of drug addicts. So unusual behavior is almost expected. With that maybe she knows someone down here. I can think of a few services that help people in Glendale such as "Bridges" (it primarly used for lower income individuals seeking therapy and rehabilitation).
The only reason I suggested the light rail is because its super easy to sneak on and off.(not saying that I have) The security is really spotty... I have rode it numerous times and never have been asked for a ticket.(maybe I look trustworthy?) They are very sparse and usually are just along for the ride making sure no disturbance is caused.

But as you said Marigold she would be a little out of it and likely noticeable. Hopefully did take the rail as someone to see her. And if she dumped the body in a public spot there are cameras all over most public places in Tempe - the library, the community centers, schools, and ASU has a pretty stealth camera set up.

And isn't the landfill for Tempe at Sky Harbor? I am not 100% but that would be alot of garbage.

BBM I had been thinking the same thing. If she had Jhessye's body in a suitcase, could she have caught a cab to Tempe and later taken another cab back home? If that was her mode of transportation, I doubt she would've called the cab to her home. Are there any hotels nearby? It wouldn't appear suspicious for someone carrying luggage to hail a taxi in front of a hotel. IIRC, there is a Greyhound station nearby, so it would be reasonable to think that there are hotels nearby where travelers can stay.

I wonder if one of the tips received by LE came from a cabbie who recognized JH's mugshot when she was recently arrested for child abuse.

The way it was worded in the news makes me think the same thing. But it could just as easily be someone who recognized her from public transportation.

Coombs said tips that came in following Hunter's arrest and evidence collected during search warrants led police to believe Jhessye's body was dumped in Tempe. He declined to elaborate.
Tips that came in after Jerice was arrested for child abuse. Someone remembered seeing something, imo. But what kind of evidence could they have found at her home that indicated she traveled to Tempe? Ticket stub or receipt of some kind? What about those curious items mentioned in the search warrant? Yellow papers was it?

The mention of Sky Harbor Airport, caught my attention. If she had a piece of luggage with her it wouldn't look weird if her destination took her near there. Whether by cab or public transportation. She may have used a dumpster at a place located near the airport.

Praying our Jhessye is found.

There is a Transfer Station at Sky Harbor Airport. GPD (Combs) mentioned they had to track each truck coming from the transfer station to the landfill. Further, pinpoint each load to a specific disposal cell and then down to the depth of waste placed for that day. One article stated they are considering the use of a cadaver dog to aid them.

The thought of this baby being thrown in the trash...words escape me.

Hunter was released from jail days later, and the charge against her was dropped. Prosecutors said at the time that they wanted further investigation and were worried that Hunter would not be eligible for a potential murder charge if she was convicted of abusing Shockley, a situation known as double jeopardy.

Okay, now that makes sense!

I feel stupid for not thinking of that to begin with!

RBBM

It is an affront to every decent, law-abiding African American when someone screams "racism" to get their way, get out of trouble, or to turn attention away from their nefarious deeds. It is also an affront to everyone who ever worked hard and risked their necks in the Civil Rights Movement...African American, Caucasian, Jew, Gentile, etc. I am completely and totally disgusted with these people on so many levels.

Hey, these people are nothing but cons- full blown scam artists. They'll use whatever they can to scam their way out of trouble. It's gross.

I wonder if LE caught her on a camera somewhere....

Great thought. They mentioned witness tips and search warrant info. I wonder if she had a bus pass. Ohh, I hope they get her soon. Every day of freedom that monster has is another piece of Jhessye's dignity taken.

Agreed. Bless Jhessye's heart....hopefully she runs and plays with Caylee and the countless other wee ones who are no longer with us....

I am convinced that LE has something pretty concrete tying Jerice to Tempe. Somehow, she managed to put Jhessye there. It will be interesting to find out how she did it without having a car of her own. Taking a cab would've been very expensive. I wonder if she rented a car? Or borrowed one?

snipped and BBM...

It is a heartbreaking possibility, and the thought of it makes me sick to my very soul. Put there by the actions of her own mother, too....I am so angry on Jhessye's behalf.

It's just beyond the comprehension of decent and loving people who cherish the children in their lives, that a mother could be so callous towards her own beautiful child.

There is no punishment harsh enough for that kind of hard, cold, deliberate evil.

Once again, AmandaReckonwith you are wonderful! Thank you for all you do out of love for each beautiful little one here at WS. It helps to be able to see Jhessye's smile. She's our little ballerina!

I played the music to The Late and the Great Nat King Cole's UTUBE video "Dance Ballerina Dance" and ran Jhessye's photobucket as a slide show. Wish I knew how to put all her pictures to that song. It made me think she's in heaven dancing with that beautiful smile and Nat King Cole singing to her as he did to his little daughter.

Reading your post just opened up the floodgate of tears...
The only comfort I find is in knowing that nothing/ NO ONE can ever destroy Jhessye's vibrant spirit. Her smile is forever ingrained in our hearts, and her beautiful soul is free flourish...now that she has escaped the he$$ Jerice created for her. Deep down in my heart, I KNOW justice will soon prevail for little Jhessye. The days are indeed numbered for Team Jerice! MOO

:praying:Thinking of you sweet Jhessye and praying we have you home soon.

Shirley, if you aspire to be a political activist, perhaps you should consider that as a career goal later. Saying those things on your facebook page makes you look callous and calculating. There is no conspiracy Shirley, the State of Arizona and GPD is not pointing at Jerice because she's black, a convicted felon, poor, a single mother, or for any other ridiculous excuse you come up with. They are pointing at her because that's where the E-V-I-D-E-N-C-E is leading them.

Right now, there is a good chance your granddaughter is in a Landfill. Killed by that monster you raised and thrown away like a piece of trash. Jhessye was loved, she had a wonderful home where she was thriving. Jerice insisted on having her back. Why?
