Evidently Shirley accepts that Jhessye may be in a landfill, but does not believe it was Jerice who put her there. I'm still scratching my head over that one, seems as if she is hedging her bets. If our sweet girl is indeed found, I guess she will say it was a stranger abduction and disposal?

I'm worried about the degree of difficulty involved in that search. If they are not able to find her, what then? Will they have enough to prosecute? If the forensics come back, is that enough circumstantial evidence to convict?

ETA- Wasn't Shirley ordered to zip it regarding CPS and Jhessye's siblings?

If Shirley was interested in getting the truth out, then why didn't she post on Facebook to the national NAACP, telling them that the leader of the local NAACP lost faith in jerice back in November?

If the little girl was killed months ago and tossed into a trash bin, as police now believe, and then taken by a collection truck to a massive landfill south of the Valley, deposited and covered over with tons of trash, she will not be alone.

There is a boy there.

That is what authorities believe. He has been there since 1996. I hadn't thought about him for a very long time. His story came back to me when police in Glendale said they believe that the body of 5-year-old Jhessye Shockley may be at the Butterfield Station Landfill in Mobile.

And they are contemplating a search.

Shirley knows Jerice killed Jhessye, but she may not want to admit it...especially in public. It will make her look bad for enabling her daughter, and for her own role in Jerice's background of abuse.

As long as she can keep up the pretense, she will. But I have no doubt that she knows her daughter is guilty.

I would love to know which book of the Yellow pages they wanted. The last time I looked at a phone book awhile ago, they had a large metro Phoenix yellow pages, and also one each for the west side (Glendale, Peoria, Sun City, etc) and one for the east side (Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, etc.)

If she needed absorbent or shredded paper, then why didn't she pick up some of the free newspapers in the valley? She could have grabbed as many as she wanted and could have chosen between the Phoenix New Times, or the Spanish language Prensa Hispana. Both are usually available in open boxes in front of convenience stores, Walgreens and also a few local grocery stores.

I'm puzzling over those yellow pages. I can't figure out what in the world she would use them for?

That's what I meant by keeping up the pretense as long as she can. She has a lot riding on the version that she and Jerice are trying to sell to the rest of the world.

Just because she knows that Jerice is guilty doesn't mean she'll ever admit it publicly.

Guys, those of you who have been following jhessyes fb page should take a gander. Someone is posting on the 13 yr olds fb and the posts are troubling. If this is really thiis child she is communicating with shirley via fb. The posts are odd and maybe even suicidal.

I pray with all my heart someone has hacked this childs account and it is not really her
