I'd love to see some kind of memorial to Jhessye. Something solid, like a statue in her angelic form, that people can go to and place flowers at. Something that would let the monster Jerice know that even though she tortured her child to death and treated her like a piece of garbage, Jhessye is very much loved by many who have never met her and she will always be more loved and more important than Jerice.

In fact, I wish every child destroyed in such a fashion could have a monument in their home town, somewhere. Where people can go and remember the beautiful life that once was.

I bet you'll get your wish G1. Those women on the Where's Jhessye FB Page are devoted to her. I could totally see them putting a permanent memorial in place for her, as many of them are local. The only question would be where.

:bump: Wish I could do sooo much more for you, sweet angel...

Okay, that right there just caused the following train of thought. If all children who were murdered had statues or memorials erected to them we would have to have memorial parks dedicated solely to that purpose, an entire park or garden in each community filled with statuary depicting these children in various states of play and interaction. That vision just popped into my head.

Such a thing will never happen but can you all just imagine for a moment how very striking that would be? How very hard it would be for the general public to let these victims slip their minds? How quickly would the public force changes to current IMO failing systems then, I wonder, when faced daily with driving past rolling green acres of children, frozen in play?

Sorry for the flight of fancy. That image just was so very real in my mind's eye upon reading yours gitana1.

Prosecutor: Missing Glendale Girl Not Forgotten
Updated: Wednesday, 14 Dec 2011, 9:44 PM MST

PHOENIX - A prosecutor is assuring the public that a missing Glendale girl isn't being forgotten and that authorities are pressing their investigation.

Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery says concerns for 5-year-old Jhessye (Jesse) Shockley are just as strong now as they were when she was reported missing Oct. 11.

Montgomery declined Wednesday to say if an indictment is near but said "appearances can be deceiving" when asked about the release of the girl's mother.

"We have not lost focus of the case or the importance of the investigation. Jhessye Shockley has not been forgotten and concerns over her whereabouts and the desire for her safe return are just as strong now as the first day that she went missing," said Montgomery. "The dedicated folks at Glendale and my prosecutors are hopeful for a positive outcome, we're still working to make sure as we run down leads and get evidence that we are able to arrive to an appropriate decision as to how to resolve this matter."

Police constantly trail the mother of a missing Glendale girl and have placed GPS tracking devices on at least three friends' cars, according to an attorney representing Jhessye Shockley's mother.

Glendale police suspect Jerice Hunter was involved in her daughter’s disappearance. The 5-year-old was reported missing on Oct. 11.

Scottsdale-based attorney Scott Maasen said he's seen the same vehicles follow Hunter on multiple occasions. But most startling, he says, is that those who drive Hunter to appointments and errands also appear to have been tracked.

Last weekend, Maasen said three friends found small black boxes on their cars that are GPS tracking devices, the attorney said.

Whatsa matter Jerice? All the scrutiny getting a little hard to bear? Your friends not so thrilled to be dragging your behind around town now that that puts them in the spotlight as well?

Tough.

People whose children are "missing" don't mind the scrutiny, in fact, they welcome it. But then you know exactly where Jhessye is dont' you?

An aside, I could secure something the size of a man's pocket watch on a car where the owner wouldn't be able to find it. Since it's legal in AZ to attach these things to cars without a search warrant (I think that's a bit of a concern) why can't they send someone to place it way up inside the interior of the car where it wouldn't be detected? Were they sticking these things to the outside of the car? Send a mechanic, with a flashlight and a willingness to crawl under the car, no one would be the wiser.

good point Jeanna but they may have been securing the devices to whatever area they could on the undercarriage quickly, so as not to be seen. They opted for speed is my guess. We have no idea how many of them are still out there, still tracking associates of Jerice.

Wish those ones that were found hadn't been tho, because I can bet there are lots of associates crawling round under their cars about now.

If any of Jerice's "associates" know anything about Jhessye, or know where that little girl is, then they need to talk. This is a missing child!!! It doesn't get much more serious than that.

Jerice will take you down with her. Tell LE what you know. Make a deal for yourself.

So happy to hear progress is being made behind the scenes!!!! Thank you KPHO and Donna Rossi for keeping Jhessye's story alive.

You hear that Jerice? Tick-tock ...

From the article:

"This smacks of big brother," Maasen said. "When government goes to these lengths to monitor movements, it's got to raise questions and concerns with people.

Critics have said the trackers violate protections against unreasonable search and seizure when they are attached without a warrant from a judge.

We are talking about a missing baby here. A child LE and her whole community are desperately looking for. They are not searching the people being tracked or seizing their vehicles. They are following Jerice.

Yeah, I have HUGE concerns in this case. But not about what the government is doing to find our baby, Jhessye. So far, they are breaking no laws.

BTW, who the heck would be friends which such a monster? After all we now know?

I agree with you 100% Gitana1. If it's legal to attach tracking devices in AZ, what's the problem? Honestly I admire that kind of no holds barred approach to finding Jhessye. If those with the devices attached to their cars are merely transporting Jerice to appointments, no harm no foul.

What's that saying? You lay down with dogs, you're gonna get fleas? Anyone who associates with Jerice best stock up on plenty of Frontline ...

I wouldn't be surprised if that is what they did.

Someone finds black box on their car... "d@mn... it's a tracking device..."
They remove it.

They don't dig around deeper, to find that very small one that is also there and hidden really well.
Maybe they had a reason to want her to know she was being followed... yet still have the means to track her after she knows too. :twocents:
