Shirley's talking out of both sides of her mouth now. She's finally acknowledging that Jhessye may be in the landfill, but is blaming LE for waiting so long to do the search. I think she knows the gig is up and wants to distance herself from Jerice.

Interesting comment from Shirley from the link I posted above:

~snipped~

I have to agree with that!

Shirley and her big mouth should be down in that landfill searching on her hands and knees. :furious:

Once again, Shirley is the playing victim. I wish one of her "friends/ supporters" would smack some d*mn sense into that thick head of hers! All she cares about is covering her own a$$! I'm sure she will be getting even more desperate, as the landfill search continues. I can't wait for all this to end! Jerice, your time is coming faster than you thought! There is nothing Shirley can do, or say about it, either!!!!

Shirley needs to blame JERICE for abusing Jhessye until she died, and then tossing her own child into the trash like an old newspaper.

Shirley should be THANKING GPD for putting themselves in danger, and THANKING the citizens of Arizona for spending their hard earned tax dollars on searching that landfill. Her no-good daughter, who does not work or contribute to society in any way, is the cause of so much pain and misery for everyone who cares about Jhessye.

Shirley is the poisoned tree that bore the poisoned fruit. She should be feeling shame, not outrage. I wish she would just shut up. She has no right to speak on Jhessye's behalf.

Police left a landfill south of the Valley on Wednesday without finding a Glendale girl's remains, but they had reason to be optimistic.

Officers sifting through trash on the third day of the search found mail and newspapers marked with the same date that investigators believe 5-year-old Jhessye Shockley's body was disposed in a Tempe trash bin, said Sgt. Brent Coombs, a Glendale police spokesman.

The items also appeared to come from the right area of the Valley, he said. "It's very encouraging."

My heartfelt graditude to all those who are searching for Jhessye. With all my heart I want her to be found but just thinking about her being found in a landfill brings me to tears.

She deserved so much better than this. She deserved to keep laughing, singing, and dancing but most of all she deserved to be loved and cared for.

I wish I had the answers. I wish I knew what I/We can do to protect these children from being harmed or murdered.

I wish I could make it stop............

Jhessye, your beautiful smile is forever burned in my mind and in my heart. I'm so sorry for all the pain you suffered. We love you..........

Glendale Police say they have reached an area they call the “high probability zone” in their search for 5-year-old Jhessye Shockley at a landfill south of the Valley.
Wednesday was the third day of the search at the Butterfield Landfill near Mobile, Ariz.
It’s an area where officers have found newspapers and other paperwork from the day Jhessye went missing nearly four months ago.
ABC15 sources also say officers may not be looking for a body exactly, but a container that may be hiding a body.

Sources tell ABC15 they are hoping to find something significant by the end of the week.

it does sound very promising... also from the abc15 link I posted (for some reason I didn't get the whole sentence)... they said container or "suitcase"..

I think they know more about this "suitcase" as it has been mentioned in the past...

I bet they have a good idea exactly what they are looking for....

Oh, I'm praying that you're right. Do you think one of the kids saw Jerice lugging a suitcase? If Jhessye is in there, maybe her little body has been protected to a certain extent. Makes me sick just thinking about it, but it's better than the other thoughts I was having.

Also, perhaps more evidence is preserved in there.

So encouraged by yesterdays results.

re: suitcase...

now I remember... police were seen removing a suitcase from the apartment during the search warrant

(perhaps there is a suitcase missing from a set? perhaps Jerice had a suitcase with her in tempe?)

(eta: I am trying to post the link about the suitcase being removed from the apartment but my computer is being slow...)

Yes. The suitcase. Many sleuths have believed since watching le with suitcase at jerice's that perhaps it was part of a set. Would also explain how a vehicleless jerice might transport a body while using a form of public transport or recieving a ride from an unsuspecting friend.

Will be checking in during my noon hour today. I feel so hopeful that searchers will find her.

This is great news under these totally rotten circumstances. Poor Jhessye. I'm hoping and praying today is the day for her to come home and Jerice Hunter is rotting under the jail.

  • #499
I hope and pray they're right and there could be something by the end of the week. Jhessye's been there too long already.

Praying that today is the day!! Precious little Jhessye needs to be found. I am in awe of the brave men and women doing such intensely difficult, backbreaking and dangerous work at the landfill. God bless them all!!

I agree that LE and other personnel are searching for a suitcase, duffel or similar type of luggage. In addition, they're aware of other markers to look for (sorry dear Jhessye) in regards to bones, hair, etc.
I have no doubt that all searchers have been thoroughly briefed as to what they should pay attention to. It brings tears to my eyes to think about it, but I am praying they find anything that will help bring sweet Jhessye home to her Aunties that loved her unconditionally and gave her so much love prior to the evil interference of Shirley and Jerice.

God Bless you beautiful Jhessye and THANK YOU searchers!
