She is a drug abuser, so I have no doubt she will harm the baby in utero. She used drugs while pregnant with the baby she delivered just a few months ago.
As self-absorbed as Jerice is, denying herself anything for the sake of one of her unborn children is just not in her character. I have no doubt she's got some kind of scam planned for this pregnancy that she thinks will benefit her in some way.

But if she has tested positive while pregnant or given birth to children with drugs in them then WHY can't they pick her @$$ up and put the baby in protective custody until she gives birth?? If she knows they will take the baby when it is born then she will not care and will do drugs or will hide the kid or sell it or who knows what.

Sever her parental rights NOW!!! This is an innocent unborn child whose entire life is at stake in the hands of an alleged drug abuser and child killer, who is a convicted child abuser.

There HAS to be a way to take her into custody to protect the baby. I don't care if it is a fricking jaywalking offense, pick her up!!

I look outside and it is spring and there are butterlies coming out all over. I pray each day that Jhessye will be the next little butterfly to appear.

I sincerely wish they could scoop her into custody to protect this coming little one, unfortunately, it would be argued that the fetus growing within her is only "potential" life and that her rights outweigh that "potential" unborn persons :(

IIRC either she tested positive for marijuana while she was still pregnant, or the baby tested positive at birth. There were lots of prescription drugs found in the apt. too.

And yet....Jerice and Shirley professed outrage that the State took the newborn baby. It's always about them, and not the children anyway.

Today I am thinking of Jhessye, Tycora and the searchers, and saying a little prayer for each.

Jhessye, we won't forget you ever.
Tough luck, Jerice, One day you will be held accountable. LE isn't going to forget Jhessye, nor will I. You don't deserve even the air you breathe. No child deserves to come from your polluted womb.
IMO

If she gives birth in California, they will drug test the baby IMMEDIATELY after his birth. If there are any drugs evident then social services will take custody of the child from that moment on. No family members will be able to take the child until there is a formal hearing. At least that is how it was in the 90's. Maybe since all of the states are so broke it doesnt happen that way anymore.

She won't get to keep this baby either. And unfortunately the poor sweet little thing probably has a loser for a dad too.

The people behind Sunday’s child abuse prevention event said they are suspicious of Hunter. She refused to show up to the birthday event in her daughter’s honor.
"This is what's sad; all the mothers we work with, that we've been involved with, I've never seen any case where right away they want to hide,” Jessica’s Law Now organizer Mark Palmer said. “She should go to the police, take a lie detector test, clear herself, and say, 'what can I do to find my daughter.' "

How long are they going to take to search the landfill? Also did anyone notice the random attempted kidnappings in the area before she went missing? I curious

Pythia, welcome to WebSleuths!

IIRC they said they are going to search as long as it takes. They were thinking it was going to take a couple months(?), but I don't remember hearing any end date they had in mind.

It's been awhile could you refresh my mind on the random attempted kidnappings in the area? The only one I'm remembering is the one that the "POI" mentioned as the cause of Jhessye's disappearance.

How far does one need to reach to believe that a random stranger came and found little Jhessye severely beaten, starved and abused, stashed in her mother's closet and then this stranger smuggled Jhessye out of the house in broad daylight, completely unseen by all?

Odder still is Jerice coming home, finding her darling daughter missing, then cleaning up after the kidnapper with bleach, removing all possible evidence that this random stranger had ever been in her house!!
