I'm glad they are staying positive and getting a good system down. I'll bet they will learn a lot from this search.

I can't help but have a feeling that we may get to Holy Week again and have Jhessye returned to us the way Laci and Conner were from the sea. I wish it would be sooner for the searchers' sake, but I just keep thinking about the timing.

I had forgotten that Laci and Conner were found at Easter.....thank you for the reminder-it makes me hopeful that Jhessye will be coming home to be laid to rest with love.

The search would never have been undertaken unless GPD had some solid evidence that Jhessye is there in that landfill.

Yes, I think you're right. I can't substantiate, but I recall reading a tip came in regarding surveillance video at the airport recorded JS body being disposed of on the property, either a trash bin or dumpster, inside a suitcase, and the airport trash going to Butterfield Landfill. They identified the date and time of the trash pick up and where it was placed in the landfill and waited for LE to confirm the info before beginning the recovery. I am certain she is there and will be recovered by Easter. Once they bring her home, there's gonna be a family reunion at the PRISON. LE can round them all up....

I can't believe her poor little body hasn't been found yet! Soon, I hope! Although I am more confident that it WILL be found at this point. Only 1/4 done still means they have quite a ways to go.

The soul-less duo Jerice and Shirley must be frantically working on their new speeches for when Jhessye's body is found. It's a given that they will display shock and outrage at "the evil person who kidnapped Jhessye and murdered her". To bad their mouths don't become breeding grounds for coffin flies, and every time they opened their mouth flies swarmed in, eager for their evil breaths. Their voices come from the depths of depravity.

I believe that is how Jerice has said CPS/LE took her children from her. She's trying to make it sound underhanded rather than an attempt to take the children out peacefully/quietly. I suppose if they'd been removed under threat of gunfire that would have made the news so Jerice only has so many options to try to make LE look bad.

Keep trying Jerice, I don't believe your children were secreted away from you. I believe LE did everything in their power not to frighten your children anymore than you already had. I also believe those children have told their foster families some horror stories about their life with you. I hope they continue opening up until they are purged and can begin to trust and love again.

God Bless each and everyone who is trying to find Jhessye. I pray that they will find her and have the strength to handle it when they do. I can't imagine what that would be like.

Poor little angel. She deserved so much love. I don't post here often but I read it and cry often. It breaks my heart that someone could harm a child and it is happening so often.

Jhessye deserves respect. She deserves a proper burial. I hope and pray her killer never has contact with children again! NEVER!

The courts in California declared that Jerice never should have had children. Unfortunately, then dear loving grandma Shirley got custody of them, and saved them for unfit mommy Jerice. This puts Shirley right in with Jerice, for aiding and abetting. Most likerly Shirl continue to collect the welfare checks for those children, and divied up the proceeds with Jerice. Partners in crime, Jerice and Shirley. Oh, the senseless shame of it all. Poor beautiful Jhessye, you knew you were not going to be allowed to escape from the hands of that person who tortured you.

This. Exactly. Thanks wasn't enough. The people that place these babies into the hands of their abusers/rapists/murderers when THEY KNOW FULL WELL THE RISKS are, IMHO, just as guilty as the sick perverts who hurt them.

Behind the scenes: Searching for Jhessye Shockley

MOBILE, Ariz. -- The disappearance of 5-year-old Jhessye Shockley garnered national attention last fall. Soon after she vanished, Glendale detectives got a tip little Jhessye had not only been murdered but also dumped in the trash.
Thanks to technological advances, the city was able to determine that the trash ended up at the Butterfield Landfill in Mobile which is just south of the Valley.

"Our detectives are still confident that they're going to find Jhessye's remains," said Tracey Breeden of the Glendale Police Department.

But six weeks into the search, hundreds of hours of manpower have been exhausted.
