Thank God for all those people who have been searching for so long and for all those who are about to join them. Jhessye, beautiful little girl, you are loved and will never be forgotten. Butterflies are free and so are you! No one will ever hurt you again! I can't help but feeling sad that no one came to help you sooner.

Ugh...100+ degree heat in a landfill? Can you imagine? I am thankful for people doing this just to get answers. This whole case is disgusting and shocking.

still only a little more than halfway done at 12 weeks into the landfill search:

“We are still going through 30 to 40 dump truck loads of trash a day. We are more than halfway through the cell (the section of the landfill where authorities believe Jhessye’s remains could be),” Breeden said. “We continue to find mail and trash from near the area where we believe Jhessye was placed in a trash receptacle.”

Where do you find out about volunteering? I'm a newb and can't even sleuth that out.

I think the landfill search is being conducted by volunteers from the police department and emergency services. For liability purposes and to preserve the integrity of the investigation I don't think they are accepting citizen volunteer.

If only that monster would have left Jhessye in the care of the people who loved and cherished her. So senseless, jerice never had to take her. In fact they initially said no, leave her here until you are settled ...

Thank you for this! I am working on my own way to help now (and I was put into my place that I am not to be working out in these conditions for those long hours in my condition). I will be updating soon with the preliminary details of a fundraiser I will be hosting. All proceeds will be donated to the Glendale police department to off-set even a small amount of the expense they have put towards finding our girl!
