While we wait for LVD to give her opening circus statement, a question -- will she make it through it without drawing an objection from the State or admonition from the judge?

Unimpressive and shortish opening from Lori (judging by Nate's tweets). The prosecutor successfully objected multiple times.

Not surprising at all!

The delay is killing me because I can't help but read tweets spoiling what is to come.

Hating the delay as well but it'll really stink on verdict day. We'll hear by tweet but have to wait to see it.

There she blows

Has anyone counted how many times she said “the evidence will show?”

True to form, Lori Vallow Daybell scapegoated her daughter, making Tylee the reason Charles could not stay in her home. "When Tylee became a teenager, Tylee and Charles' relationship was so bad they had to go see a therapist," says Lori.

A lot has come out recently about the dynamics between Lori and Tylee. And, having seen Lori snapping at the judge over the last few days and listening to Lori's cousin's and Colby's podcasts, I don't see Lori as the sweet and motherly "people pleaser" she thinks she is/was.

"I advised Charles he could not stay with us because he could not get along with Tylee'" says Lori. Never mind that Lori Vallow Daybell had been having an affair with Chad for months and that Charles had found out about it a few weeks before he was murdered--Tylee is why Charles couldn't be in the house. Ugh...we recently heard Lori blame Tylee for JJ's and her own [Tylee's] deaths.

I'm shocked by how Lori has put so much blame on Tylee for situations that she, herself, caused.

Considering she's a loose cannon I think it was a smart idea by whoever suggested it that she opens each claim with
"the evidence will show"

imo

She is pissing me all the way off with this Tylee version of the story. What a horrible mother.

With her making all of this about Tylee, and since the jury is unfamiliar with her and does not know of her previous convictions, how will she explain the lack of testimony from Tylee? Isn’t it reasonable for the jurors to assume Tylee will testify?

Oh I’m sure. It was a lighthearted remark. I’m already tired of listening to her.

LVD is listing the facts of the case.

I notice that she credits herself with helping Charles with his job, credits herself with raising five children...

Claims Charles and Tylee fought badly, needed counseling, turned physical. Says Charles pulled JJ out of special school. Claims she brought JJ back to AZ so he could return to his special school.

Claiming Charles began sending her threatening messages. Claims she wouldn't let him stay at the house because of the fights with Tylee. Claims she booked a hotel room for Charles to stay at.

Claims Charles was texting Adam Cox.

Claims left JJ, age 7, alone in a running car.

Now tears from LVD. Claims Tylee was awakened by Charles yelling. Claims Tylee came out with a bat to protect LVD. Then Charles and Alex fought for control of the bat. LVD claims she sent Tylee out to be with JJ, claims Charles chased her with a bat, Alex retrieved a gun, then she went outside -- five away, went to Burger King, drove to Walgreens to by flip-flops, since they had left without shoes.

Big pause because LVD had to get a tissue.

It's mind blowing to me that there is anyone unfamiliar with her.

Hey, Lor, if you were so fearful -- you know, from being chased by Charles with a baseball bat, why dincha call 911 as soon as you drove the children to safety?

I need a puke emoji. Is this the same LVD twirling her hair and flirting with a po an hour after CV died?

By another family tragedy of course.
