Here we go. I'm not surprised by these charges and very pleased they were brought.

reminder that charging documents are just that. They are not proof of anything. Anyone can charge anyone else with basically whatever they choose. There is much more to this story. Both sides have made poor choices. Peace to baby William and those who love him.

Oh no. That's simply untrue. The district attorney levelelled these charges. Anyone can't charge anyone with anything. These are criminal charges. And the support for those charges came from actual fact (evidence) revealed during an unbiased law enforcement investigation.

So let's be clear. We now have:

1. A family court record that indicates the father is believed, the mother is not, the mother and her parents are at fault.
2. A law enforcement record that indicates the mother and her parents are criminals and are wrongfully withholding the baby.
3. The parents own crazy actions and statements that indicate they have harmed the child, committed crimes, helped withhold this child and have serious issues.

And yet people are still unwilling to see dad as a victim.

What poor choices has this father made? Except mating with the wrong person?

I just hope this girl and the baby are okay because crazy folks do crazy things and that frightens me.

Agreed. I've been afraid for the baby's safety from day one. I also remember a custody case out here where the maternal grandmother, after dad got custody, went to the home and shot her daughter and grandkids, dead.

This is a scary case. It's also quite upsetting how many seem biased against men or fathers and are willing to overlook piles of facts that indicate the dad is not the bad guy. That kind of attitude is one men have to fight in family court and criminal court far too often.

I'm glad the authorities in this case have seen the truth.

I found it worded strangely on Roland's conditions, "You are not to have any contact with minors. No exceptions."

It doesn't specifically state his own children, but ALL minors. Could Cassie, or possibly someone else, have alleged to police that Roland is a danger to minors?! I just find it odd how it's worded to include all minors.

After reading her over the top letters to Jacob and all her bragging and the letters she sent him and then to read the biography is equally sicking. I believe Maddie is no Victim. She maybe a narcissist also. Such inflated pious ego. I hope they throw the book at All 3 of them. Who would believe this stuff? Not a critical thinking person.

I have begun to wonder whether or not the BYU allegations were even legitimate. IIRC, there were never criminal charges against Jake-it was only an internal investigation by BYU. That speaks volumes in itself. Almost seems Maddie's sole intent was to sabotage Jake simply because they were no longer together. Apparently this family has never learned the concept, 'live & let live'.

In the BYU docs, it was stated that several girls sent letters to the judge alleging they were sexually assaulted by Jake. Were these letters vetted at all?! Not very far fetched to wonder if Cassie &/or Maddie created those letters.

True. It's insane.

You know I've been thinking about posts that support Maddie and her parents and that they don't seem logical. They seem to both act as if the disappearance was caused by Jacob, and that he may have killed Maddie and their baby, and also that Maddie had to hide to protect herself from this vicious man. Which is it?

Either way, the facts of this case should at least show everyone that the grandparents and Maddie have willfully hidden Maddie and the baby and that Jacob hasn't killed Maddie and carried the baby away where he is being tortured and abused by his family for some weird reason, as Cassie has alleged.

Most Campus allegations of sexual assault/rape are handled in house, so to speak. That is not unusual. That is why we are now hearing the uproar about fudged numbers and how campuses don't want to be held accountable for acts being commited on their grounds and why more and more women are seeking outside assistance - but even then many times, still being directed back to campus authorities.

I don't have the contempt most do for Maddie. She was raised by these crazy persons. She probably HAS taken on some of their unhealthy coping mechanisms.

I was raised by a narcissist. I had a lot of narcissistic and unhealthy coping mechanism well into my adulthood, but they made me feel bad And that's the difference between a real narcissist and one who isn't. I seeked out therapy and changed my ways. I think Maddie probably can too. But she will need a lot of distance, time, and intense therapy.

I hope for William she does the right thing, and gets all those things, and eventually can be present and healthy in his life, but she needs to make the first step, and that is going to be the hardest. Admitting she was wrong. For real or fake narcissists that is almost unthinkable.

There's a similar case on trial in Canada, verdict on the first degree murder charge should come in next week. The mother killed her 18 month old daughter and made an unsuccessful attempt to kill herself. I got a real good laugh when she finally was exposed for sure because she faked a letter from "a tutor" and the spelling and grammar were so horrendous, the judge said "I sincerely hope this supposed person isn't tutoring any child" lol

I agree about the BYU "charges". they were quick to point them out any time they wanted to slander dad. if there was any sex abuse you don't think this prima donna wouldn't have called the cops?

Absolutely agree on the police being called if it were truthful. Not only that, she waited HOW LONG to report to BYU?!

Also, I may be wrong but I recall something along the lines of Maddie attempting to have the sex abuse complaint heard/considered for criminal charges around the time of her & Jake's divorce proceeding. IIRC, the judge threw the whole thing out rejecting any documentation of 'facts' from BYU. I'll have to look into it to see if I can find it. I may be dreaming it (LOL) but I'm positive I read it someplace!

I am up reading to catch up at 3:30am and here is my latest thought. Is there a name for women who hate men and control them? Like an actual diagnosis? She sounds like one who maybe hates men in general. (IF) she was capable of doing what her brother alleges (as written a few posts back) and Jacob, ot makes me wonder. I also wonder of she controls her husband too???

Also, as with previous posts, maybe he is in the hospital under a psych hold, because of his apparent loss of memory during the depositions?? Maybe he is starting to recaĺl things, now that he is behind bars. (Yes, snarky I know, couldn't resist.)
