Sheriff deputies are armed just like cops in our (AZ) rural areas, so yes they are armed.

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu has released a statement on developments in the missing persons case out of Maricopa:

July 1, 2015. 3:55 p.m.——"PCSO detectives are on scene at a residence in the 50,000 block of West Papago, in Maricopa, conducting a search warrant related to the missing persons case of Mike and Tina Careccia. Due to the nature of the investigation and the critical juncture we find ourselves at, we are not able to share more details at time. We will brief the media on developments in the case as soon as we are able to."

The above statement the ONLY information coming from PCSO. If you hear anything else on the news, it is not from our office and not confirmed by our office.

A flash drive seems like an odd item to deliver, but it probably is completely unrelated if it wasn't taken. Somehow I feel like this could have something to do with the inheritance and a possible plan for ransom somehow gone awry... Idk its the only logical motive I can come up with based on facts we have

ABC15 interviewed a neighbor of JV and said he is an electrician. ABC15 did report his first name as Jose.
