What is the significance of the Shot Spotter testimony?

I thought defense said in their opening statement that they were going to prove the bullet that hit Holly came from Goitia's gun and presumed their means of proving it was the Shot Spotter locator, but I haven't heard (or read, actually) that sort of testimony coming from Paul.

I *believe* (the defense opening was soooo many weeks ago) that the defense was trying to say that there was only one shot fired from Hulsey's weapon, insinuating that Offc. Holley was struck by "friendly fire".

The lab witness will have to wait the state needs to interview her so now we have Spot Shotter rep that's going to testify #bryanhulsey

There was the question if "Niki" Giota Kostas (was the other occupant and witness in the car) was going to testify before the trial began..........but she was arrested a few weeks back with a LARGE amount of meth...like distribution size, I think 3 lbs?
