Re: Chrisman.......I think there was a really intense situation going on with all the supporters he still had in LE that showed up on his side of the court everyday.... I'm sure it effected the jury. I truly believe Chrisman was a loose cannon and I'm just glad he'll never be wearing a badge. The victim's mother will forever have to live with calling LE. It was the "perfect storm" that could have been stopped in it's tracks, at many different points, if cooler heads had prevailed.
It's just a tragedy that the final "screw up" Chrisman was nailed for was the murder of an unarmed man, trying to leave his home, and a dog who wasn't a threat.
The Officer who testified against him had nothing to gain, and everything to loose. But he held fast to his honesty and integrity.
Agree, Virgillo (am I remembering his name correctly?, it seems so long ago) was very brave to not fold under the pressure of LE from the beginning of this sad case to the very end, I'd be so proud to have him patrolling my streets.
