Does anyone know what Holly's family wants in sentencing?

  • #1,904
It is very sad that he's spent a lifetime putting his family through all kinds of stuff, and now this trial.

I do feel very sorry for his parents.

"They shall live in the house they built, and eat the fruit of the vineyards they planted."
Isaiah 65:17-21

Their son will receive forgiveness when he meets his maker, if he seeks forgiveness- not here on earth, for He is the only one who can forgive with his whole heart. :tears:

I think the jury might skip on the DP to spare Husley's family some agony. Doubt they care about Husley himself.

I wouldn't be so sure. They could be emotional toward the family without feeling any sympathy for BH. Perhaps thinking about all the lives he's ruined and what tha family has lost.

Could be they feel sympathy for him now. But keep in mind we still have a rebuttal and closing arguments coming. Could be they have sympathy for him now but will be convinced by the other jurors who feel strongly about his deserving the DP. I'll admit, reading is stuff today did stir a tiny bit of sympathy in me for him. But I remembered that much of it is defense hooey. They're emotional but they'll get pulled back to reality. I just refuse to believe the killer of an innocent cop would not get the death penalty. I just can't see it happening.

And here I thought closings would be today...

Defense says last witness will take two days and then Juan calls Dr Hayes. So looks like one more week #bryanhulsey

Jen's Trial Diaries @TrialDiariesJ · 2h

Good Morning! It's pouring rain here! I need to find my umbrella. #bryanhulsey is back on at 10:30am MST w/ defenses last witness.
---

Can't figure the strategy in doing his family's video statements and then putting on (yet) another witness.

Did the giraffe have her baby?

Not yet, Chelly. I so want this crazy, upside-down mitigation phase to be over with. I buy the rough childhood, but I can't find sympathy for Hulsey the adult. He made his own choices and chose to live in his insane fog.

  • #1,918
Not yet Chelly- we're still pacing the Sidebar waiting for him/her. :seeya:

looks like i didn't miss much last night. lets hope they dont run past 4 today
