Authorities Search For Missing Man Near Prescott

Authorities say Patrick James Higgins, 49, was last July 12th when he went four-wheeling with friends in the Bannie Mine area on the outskirts of Prescott near Walker.

The vehicle they were riding in became stuck, and Higgins reportedly hiked out of the area for help. He has not been seen since.

He is described as a white male, last seen wearing a white t-shirt and jeans.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, Prescott Police Department or 911.

I’m not familiar with this area at all. I googled Bannie Mine, Prescott, AZ and the results gave me Bannie Mine Rd.

Bumping for Patrick. This seems to be happening more and more.
Not to throw speculation, but a lot of people are choosing to walk away. I hope that is the case here. Mental health is not great for many, many people right now.
Didn't see any information regarding searches.

This article stated he was near Walker (which is near Prescott). If you Google "Walker" (since it's so small) you can see where it would be in relation to the road that's depicted in the map you provided a link to which also shows Prescott. NOT that far but some pretty rugged terrain. Hope he is found today! Authorities Are Looking For A Prescott Man Missing Since July 12th

Sheriff's Office searching for missing Prescott man

I’m curious what time of day he & his friends were four wheeler riding? I see where it’s stated,
“...when the vehicle they were using became stuck.
‘In the morning, Higgins reportedly hiked out of the area and hasn’t been seen since,’ a YCSO news release stated.”

Was this the next morning? The morning of?

Missing Prescott man Patrick Higgins’ body found in ravine near Walker

An additional link...

To Note:
•“Higgins reportedly hiked out of the area on his own the following morning and hadn’t been seen since,” Greene said, adding Higgins’ friends had already left the disabled vehicle well before he did.
•Saturday, Aug. 7, around 2 pm, Higgins’ body was found in a ravine in the Bannie Mine area.
•YCSO SAR made their way to the area where Patrick was located Saturday, but decided because of the difficult terrain around the body, along with the sun going down, “It was not safe to attempt recovery until morning.”
•Higgins’ body was removed from the ravine at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 8.

:(
So his friends left him there alone overnight?
And when they returned he wasn’t there?
How long did it take his friends to get back to the stranded vehicle?
Prayers for his family
