Authorities seek help in locating man who went missing at Lake Pleasant

Paul Casey, 34, was last seen getting into a dark-colored vehicle at approximately 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the north end of Lake Pleasant. He hasn’t been heard from since.

He was trying to get a ride out of the desert after his Jeep Wrangler broke down.

Casey is 5-foot-8 and weighs 185 pounds, with short, thinning black hair.

He was wearing a stars-and-stripes shirt, gray basketball shorts and tennis shoes when last seen.

I did notice that he appears to be going through or has gone through some medical issues.

Here they report he was with a female prior to going missing. She is quoted here:

"There's people at the top of the hill that were going to take him somewhere to get help, so he walked up there, came back down and said goodbye and took off," she said. "He made it sound like he was going to be back.. but he never showed back up."

Not much else as far as updates. They are starting searches for him.

Im not finding msm info, but I am getting the idea that he left his wallet behind? Doesn't make sense if he was going to buy parts for repairs or in the event he needed to pay for something on his way back?? Wish we could find out if this is true.

Ok, wait.... I promise you this. I have been with many of boyfriends/ guys when a car broke down. Mostly before cell phones. I have NEVER been left behind, while he jumped into someone else's car. What would the purpose of that be? There is a lie around here. And it's going to be found out, cause whatever story is being told doesn't make sense. This doesn't seem to be the real story.

He gets into an 'unknown vehicle' and disappears off the face of the Earth and there is 'no foul play involved'? Was with a woman who was apparently left stranded in 'rugged terrain'? None of this makes any sense.

There is a fire station at lake pleasant. No need to jump in a strangers car and strand the woman in the desert. Just head on over to the station and ask for help. That’s what they are there for. I hope LE is on to this woman. Her story is shady.

Wow. And with help close by, why leave a female alone? How did she get rescued?

She was able to find a ride to Casey's house. Ramirez says he was not there, then got in her own car and left.

Okay, why would he need to jump in a car with strangers if she had a vehicle there? Why wouldn't she take him? Something smells fishy here and it isn't Lake Pleasant.
