Regina Becker was a 20-year-old cosmetology student who was murdered after she attended Sunday night church services at the Victory Worship Center on Ruthrauff Road...

She was a very religious person and faith was a major role in her life, according to Det. Charles Garcia. She surrounded herself with church members. She lived in a house with two roommates who were also members of her church.

Regina Becker sang with her church choir during evening service for the last time Jan. 14, 1996.

Less than two hours later, she was found dead, having been shot several times in the bedroom she rented from another church member in the Catalina Foothills area...

Original investigators of the case believed Becker knew her killer.

Several suspects were identified but eventually eliminated after DNA testing, said Deputy Jason Ogan, spokesman for the Pima County Sheriff's Department Investigators have no current suspects.
