Sorry if I'm doing this wrong. I am new to posting . This was on our news 3 days ago but is from may 1st. Maybe I'm wrong but sure looks like him to me.
Amarillo police looking for
I know this is 5 years old now, but I can't stop looking at this image. The resemblance is uncanny. The man in this surveillance photo has so many identical features - same chin, nose, ears, facial lines, head shape. Even though he's squinting and it is pixilated, the eyes appear like what I've seen of Robert Fisher in his home movies. I feel like I'm staring at a 59 year old Robert Fisher.
The surveillance photo was taken in May of 2020, which would've been 19 years after the murders. So that amount of aging would be correct.
But it's not only the photo that makes me think it could be Fisher.
On the Unsolved Mysteries website, two people left anonymous comments suggesting he is in Texas.
The first, in 2017, simply posted "Dallas, Tx".
Interesting.
Then on August 8, 2020 another person added commentary to the above post with this:
"A poster called “anonymous” posted on 5-17-17 that they believe he’s in Dallas Texas. How curious, considering a man matching the description of one of his age enhanced photos (with a grey beard) tried to apply for a credit card in a hardware store in Alabama. On the application he listed his last address as 2223 N 74th, in Scottsdale Az. (Robert Fisher’s address prior to blowing up his house). He got nervous evidently when the application process took too long and left the store. He was seen driving a Chevy Silverado pickup, with Texas plates."
Wow.
Even weirder? The second comment was made just 3 months after the Amarillo surveillance photo was taken.
This means, if true, two men resembling Robert Fisher walked into hardware stores during the Summer of 2020 and attempted to pull a financial scheme. One was physically in Texas. The other drove off in a truck with Texas plates.
This is a long shot, but does anyone have any information to corroborate the hardware store claim?
I can't find any news stories, leading me to believe the commenter may have worked at the store. Of course, if it was him, he's long gone now. I just have to say the idea that Robert Fisher may be living in the Texas or Gulf Coast region is sounding pretty plausible.
