A small jet, owned by Motley Crue lead singer, Vince Neil, veered off the runway and crashed into a larger plane at Scottsdale Airport on Febraury 10, 2025. Officials believe the cause was the landing jet's left main gear failing upon the plane's landing from Austin, Texas.

Five people were on board the plane, one of whom was killed. Three other people were taken to a hospital to be treated for various injuries, and a fifth person refused treatment.

Vince Neil was reportedly not on board the plane, but his girlfriend, Rain, and her friend were on it. Both of them were transported to the hospital.

"At 2:39 p.m. local time, a Learjet aircraft Model 35A owned by Vince Neil was attempting to land at the Scottsdale Airport. For reasons unknown at this time, the plane veered from the runway causing it to collide with another parked plane," the statement read. "On board Mr. Neil's plane were two pilots and two passengers. Mr. Neil was not on the plane."

am I the only one who thinks the amount of plane accidents this year is strange?

Neil should really consider public transportation.

In the past few weeks I've been thinking "Too Soon ... Too Soon!! " way too often. RIP to the deceased person.

Crashes involving light aircraft like these happen every year. It's just that the accidents on the Potomac River and in Philadelphia have generated more coverage. I tend to lean to human error.

Agree. It’s like when you begin to consider which vehicle to purchase. If you’re looking at particular model/color, you see them everywhere. We’re all hyper-aware because of the recent jetliner crash.

I thought the same thing @LadyL

From this video, it doesn't even appear to be that fast a hit.

That video is wild. Almost looks like a toy plane skipping acrosss the ground and hitting the other plane.
