GUILTY AZ - Sylar Newton, 2, Rimrock, 25 July 2010 - #5

  • #161
Sleuth 2001 - you raised the most central concern that most caring people have and that being the respect not being shown Syler at this point. Most families I know would have been outraged and perhaps that's what is needed right now. We can't pressure CN nor would we want to but perhaps this has reached the point where concerned citizens could be effective.

Charity posted that she got the info from a lawyer on the foundation. Wishes she had afforded that luxury (a lawyer) to Sylar when she was handing him off here and there... or even now, in regards of getting him identified... but hey, at least she is concerned about the money part?

*sighs*

My Aunt (a lawyer) would have gladly assisted Charity in a legal OPEN adoption for Sylar, with no cost to her. I can guarantee she would have done more for Sylar than any other person in his life ever did.

I am certain she is not the only lawyer that would have done so. :twocents:

As I have mentioned before... I have family who own a mortuary in Arizona... it was offered for Sylar's funeral with everything 100% donated. Including the cremation, the urn, the service, transportation to the cemetery, a place to stay while Charity was in town (family in real estate as well) and my family would have likely raised the money for the headstone themselves.

It was just too far for everyone to drive.

It was a half an hour away. :waitasec:

There was also the $5,000 grant offered by Arizona for crime victim's which she didn't even look into. Had either one of these options been accepted there would have been no NEED for fund raising at all. :waitasec:

A lot of this comes down to Charity not asking for help that she knows IS out there because it's not on her terms. Then, when help IS offered... it is not EXACTLY what she wants so she turns it down. :twocents:

I agree........my best friend who was the youngest girl in australia to have ovarian cancer, she was 16, now 44.........would have loved to have had Sylar handed off to her.......

as would my friend who has even tried to adopt from china and was told she was too overweight and who now fosters endangered children in the hope she may be able to adopt one of them one day....

This particular case has made me so very very angry for that reason......the amount of beautiful people out there who would have treated this beautiful little boy so very very well and this scum mother keeps handing her kids off willy nilly to people who really didnt care....

how was this allowed to happen!!

I don't know what really is going on here. Its just so odd to me. Again I will say this...why did Sylar not have all this attention when he was alive? I believe if perhaps CN would have taken help offered such as that post above by MsFacetious then all of this would be put to rest. There would be no need for all of the fundraising and then that would also eliminate all the bad things being posted about saracares etc. I am just confused as to why all the fundraising, bracelets etc. What is all of that for?

Facebook is down right now and I was hoping to check the original FB page to see if there were any developments.

Ms Facetious - I am totally impressed by the generosity of your family's business to offer assistance to CN and provide dignity to Syler. I am sorry that CN did not appreciate the generosity and assistance offered.

Well now new of FB someone called Anna is claiming that she mailed out all of the bracelets that had been ordered, but all of them were returned to her because the post office did not like the fact that they were not flat in the envelope, so she had to re-do all of them and mailed them out Monday....To me this sounds like another scam, and if you look at the discussion board about the bracelets someone wants the donations set up thru pay-pal so the turn around won't be so long...Something tells me the reason there are no paypal donations is because that would be far to easy for LE to connect who is getting this money....LE needs to make some sort of statement about this case ASAP this whole case is out of control, I am sure we will see new fund-raising efforts in the near future.

And Don Newton the guy who found little Sylar's body is even questioning if a fundraiser that is suppose to happen soon in the area is on the up and up and the person who responded to his question said they were not sure....Makes me sick someone needs to have fraud charges against them probable more than one somebody.

Thinking of Sylar this morning (and every morning)!

Still no news, but at least we know that he will never be mistreated again and is in Heaven.

This work week is drawing to a close. Hopefully we won't have to wait for the next work week but it looks like we might have to.

And that is what we were thinking last week as well, Kat.

This has gotten to be ridiculous, IMO.

Was Sylar on the news while he was alive?

Was there hundreds of people sympathizing with his "mother" while he was alive?

Did caring about her son get his "mother" this much attention while he was alive?

Yes, if Charity took that $5,000 grant it would cover everything.

Yes, if Charity took other offers it would cover everything.

There would be no need for fund raising if she simply accepted the obvious help available.

However, if it was all paid for that quickly...then where would the attention come from? Why would people be sending money? What would the excuse be for selling the bracelets and having the fundraisers?

What is all the fund raising and everything for???

Attention.

Sympathy.

Money.

Maybe a little overcompensating for not helping him while he was alive.

Maybe a little bit of guilt.

Just because people are not stopping it.

I don't know what really is going on here. Its just so odd to me. Again I will say this...why did Sylar not have all this attention when he was alive? I do not like the vast majority of my mother's dozen siblings and the 100+ kids they have between them. (Though I like most of the ex husbands.) However, regardless of what I think of them....most of them really WILL help when something major happens.

My Aunt, the attorney has 6 adopted grandchildren. 3 of whom came from foster care situations after being in situations eerily similar to Sylar's. My Aunt would have done anything to make sure he was safe. Her daughter and son in law would have taken him before allowing him to go to Tina had they known about him. That's how they ended up with 6 to begin with. :innocent:

There IS help out there...Charity just has to realize that it may be a Dodge or Toyota instead of a Porsche or Mercedes. Beggars can't be choosers. :twocents:

Anna has started numerous other pages for missing children. I do not know her personally...but she isn't new. If that makes sense.

My Dad owns his own business... and I make a daily trip to the post office. As long as the envelope is not above the weight or size limit...I haven't had an issue. I do not recall being told an envelope was "too lumpy." :waitasec:

This is something that has always struck me as so ironic.

Your friend is allowed to foster...but wasn't allowed to adopt. Just as my brother would be allowed to foster...but not adopt.

If they are healthy enough, or a good enough "family unit" to foster a child then why aren't they good enough to adopt one? :waitasec:

I know a 13 year old young lady who had ovarian cancer. That was a bit crazy.

I agree........my best friend who was the youngest girl in australia to have ovarian cancer, she was 16, now 44.........would have loved to have had Sylar handed off to her.......

bumping this to the top -- it's at the top of my wish list that some arrests be made as soon as possible and that the nonsense of this not being able to positively identify the remains ends today.

  • #173
I think if something does not start happening and soon, I am going to take it upon myself to call the pubic informaiton officer at the sherriffs office and just ask what the heck is going on with this case, and find out why no one in LE will even make a statement about what is going on in this case...Poor little Sylar.

Does anyone remember if CP had a cell phone? I know that the young lad (unrelated to her) who was camping with the 'family' called in the 911 call but I don't recall anyone saying whether or not she or her lovely mom had a cell phone. Was thinking about 'pings' today.....that would tell a story wouldn't it?

Exactly!!!

The envelope that my pink cancer band came in from Melissa Etheridge's fan club was lumpy as all get out. Heck, you can send a darn coconut from Hawaii with just a darn postal sticker on it... seriously!

Ironic.... my original thought was "I've heard complaints about lumpy 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 at the post office, but never lumpy envelopes..." Some of the conversations I hear at the post office... :waitasec:

Videos, books, clothes, stuffed animals, ring boxes...I've gotten all of the above in envelopes through regular USPS mail in the last few weeks/months. We have always had a scale which we use to weigh anything we aren't sure about...we have all the size guidelines down for boxes and envelopes. I can only imagine my response if someone told me the envelope was too lumpy.

They call me Facetious for a reason. It would be entertaining, I promise. :innocent:

Who knows...maybe the post office in Arizona isn't as laid back as mine. Ohhhh here's an idea. I will ask my family... a law firm and a real estate company likely send a lot of mail. They could use the humor anyway. :innocent:

I think it's crap...but hey, I will give it the benefit of the doubt for a minute.

Oh my... that was entertaining.

Apparently.... Lumpy Mail is a business tool! Who knew?!

Here are a few of the articles or pages that pop up when you google lumpy mail. (Other than this thread here.) lol Okay...I have had my stupid entertainment for the day.

"Lumpy Mail Gets The Message Through"

"Using Lumpy Mail Marketing To Get Your Small Business Noticed"

"The Power of Lumpy Mail : Target Marketing"

"Want Your Prospect's Attention? Get Lumpy!"

Yep, I'm thinking it's time to get viral with it. Perhaps we can IM each other the number and all call on the same day. *lol* Would THAT get their attention? (or does it need to be back on the news?)

  • #179
Okay again I will say~

Tomorrow is Monday, it's the start of a new work week. Hopefully we will have news for Sylar.

:(

I pop in and check this thread daily hoping to see progress in Sylar's case and at this point I must say, "this is absolutely ridiculous!" My only thought at this point is the delay is due to complete and total incompetence! Whose incompetence I'm not sure but we all know those results should have been completed weeks ago.
