my daughter is 17, and lordy have we butted heads. she lives with her father, as any teen who believes she deserves full freedom would. ugh.

Sure she can be extreme, but she can be useful for getting the story out there.

So April (when she spoke with her brother) to July 14th (when the shoot was scheduled) have there been any confirmations from anyone that Tia was Alive and well in that time ????

q64ceo, that is something to consider... Sloane, I do not know of any except from "K" and I just dont know what to believe where she is concerned. I have tried to contact Tia's father but he is not responding...

Tia's body was there for a while according to the ME.

That means there is a chance that there could be satellite pictures could have picked that up

There is a 0% chance that we will see anyone putting her there, but it could help us break down the time frame and get a good idea of when she was placed there.

I thought about that also, as the Detective stated in that last news story;

Ratliff believes someone dumped her body in the forest, just 80 feet off Forest Road 512, near several young saplings, sometime after Sept. 30, 2009. He figures her body couldn’t have been there before that date because a forest fire in the area would have damaged the body.

Is there a chance the Forest Service may have something useful?

Sloane, as of yet there are no other stories... I have made several attempts to contact her father, but am not getting a response. Our history is not a good one. I left and stayed gone... there were so many issues I had to work out and scars I needed to heal before I could become a normal rational thinking/feeling person. I should have been there for Tia, but I wasn't. Her father has negative feelings towards me... I don't know if he would be willing to talk to another person. And you are never out of line...

Sorry it's taken me so long to answer you... about the Satellite imagery, I have already mentioned it to the detective, I don't know if he will look into that. he doesn't communicate very often. I am sure he has contacted the Forest Service as well.

Why on earth would Tia's father not talk to or be in contact with you? Despite anything that may have happened when you went your separate ways, it seems like people would put those differences aside to find the person who killed their daughter, even if they hated each other.
This sounds really strange to me.

Was Tia living with him when she went missing? (Or living with K?)

If not, was Tia in contact with her father around the time we think she missing? And if so, did her father ever report her missing?

I feel the same way about putting the differences aside... I had hoped he or anyone who knew her would be willing to offer any and all information, but as I well know, we don't always do things the way we should. My understanding is Tia was living with "K" who is unwilling to speak with me. She is quoted as saying she is disqusted that I am "claiming ownership" on Tia (?) She doesn't know anything about my efforts to contact my daughter. What really gets me, is Tia was not reported missing for several weeks after she supposedly went to this photo shoot that "K" was so worried about her going to. Why didn't anyone report her missing then... even a couple days later? I don't have any confirmation about when she was actually seen or heard from except "K's" story, which at this point I strongly question.

Sometimes too many things go on I get it, still he should answer you or respond since its about Tia, and in life some times you are estranged, my gm passed away things got so bad my mom and I didn't speak for 6 years it was bad it sucks and the ex I would never speak to him again its been close to 20 years not a word! My daughter has talked to him a few x, not me so having kids doesn't always keep communication going I really get it

Oh yeh... I found this interesting... in the quote I spoke of by "K", she also mentions that she doesn't believe a photographer had anything to do with her being gone... funny statement I thought, when on Model Mayhem she stated that she wished Tia didn't go on Craigslist and she would "still be here" ( when she did speak to me, she told me Tia and her both were in touch with this photog. from Craigslist) She is quoted saying all this on NMPD
