In fact his own mother talked of how close the boy and his father were.

I believe the kid is a budding psychopath. Considering what he did ...I am even willing to skip the "budding part" Since he's a child he can't be diagnosed as such. I am willing to bet that he was dx'd with Severe Conduct Disorder

IMO He's intelligent, manipulative, superficially charming and glib too.....that makes for the most dangerous kind of psychopath!

IMO He will learn how to better MANIPULATE, learn how to LIE better with age, he will learn to how to MIMIC empathy and compassion. He will be able to fool some professionals and he will be smart enough eventually to take standardized tests and appear to be "better".....He will be basically taught how to be a better psychopath. That's the risk when treating such a severely disturbed youth with conduct disorder.

This kid scares the heck out of me!!!!

Let's hope he takes an interest in politics.......or find some positive way to be a successful and productive law abiding psychopath...if he..in any way ENJOYED killing...ENJOYED the power...and I have to wonder if he did since he did have to reload and fire 11 times, all the while looking at his dying victims....one his own father and the other a man that never did a thing to him. There is no hope for this child.

I highly doubt that Lucas who was 12 years old at the time has a degree to determine what is "normal."

No normal kid this age does these acts. First one in our country to commit premeditated double homicides at this age. So he is no way typical or normal.

No normal 8 year old cunningly lures a man to his death and shoots him six times just because he could and wanted to.

Because you nor I are in the house when it has happened, so you have no prove on this and it's only a speculation. It's nowhere stated what exact has happened. Nowhere in any police report!

I don't think they are incompetent. Because of their evaluations is why he is going to be sent to an in house secured treatment facility instead of returning home to his mom.

A lot of children with minor issues are in fulltime therapies, because they can thread the children better there (I know it, because I worked for about 2 years in a hospital), so that's isn't an issue here because we didn't know for how long he have to stay there. He for sure is in need for therapies and he will receive them now, in my opinion he should have get the therapies since early last year (than he maybe would always be out). Also his mom has to setup a new home somewhere for the time after the therapies. So IMO she need's the time also.

I have never heard of a child with "minor" issues being sent to a secured mental treatment facility where they cannot leave. There are out patient mental health treatment centers all across America. Why would anyone put a child in a secured facility where they cant even have a cell phone if they only had minor issues?

I have no idea how long he will be there. He can be there until he is 18 years of age. Wood seems to think it will be several years and said to check back with him in around 3 years.

I don't think mom's situation had anything to do with him being sent to a secured treatment facility. Imo, she should move to Maricopa County so she can participate in any family group sessions when the psychiatrists thinks they are necessary.
