Wow, that’s awesome! Ramapo’s IGG program is such an impressive initiative, it must’ve been so great to meet them.
Yes! I had been curious since hearing about Hamilton County Coroner (Fox Hollow) & their recent collab with Gen Genies. I didn’t know exactly how it all worked. I know about GEDmatch but didn’t know specifics.

They explained to me how it actually costs $$ for LE to upload unidentified DNA to GED Match & another similar company. However; there is a new tool that is free for them to upload to. (I will check my folder of handouts and can come back & post the info)

& so much more !!

It was great!

PS- My apologies for this being somewhat off-topic. If there is a better place to discuss this please let me know

Update:

A team from the DNA Doe Project began working on the case of Missouri Street John Doe in August 2023, after it was previously worked on by students in the Ramapo College Investigative Genetic Genealogy Certificate Program. It was clear the unidentified man had Ecuadorean ancestry, but a lack of records and endogamy complicated the investigative genetic genealogy research on this case. Nevertheless, the team on this case worked tirelessly and were able to establish that Missouri Street John Doe had ancestry from the province of Guayas in Ecuador, a detail that was made public in October, 2023.

In September 2025, a member of the public came forward with information that suggested Missouri Street John Doe could be their missing loved one, Isidro Marcelo Guzmán Quinde. Isidro was born in 1963, and he was born in Guayas, Ecuador. Shortly after this tip came in, the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner confirmed that Isidro Marcelo Guzmán Quinde is the man formerly known as Missouri Street John Doe.

Ramapo College IGG Center, DNA Doe Project and Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner are pleased to announce the identification of Missouri Street John Doe as Marcelo Guzmán Quinde. This case was funded by the Ramapo College IGG Center and was initially worked by students in the Ramapo College IGG Certificate Program, who were able to identify ancestry near Guayaquil, Ecuador. The case was later worked by volunteers at the DNA Doe Project who continued the genealogy research and verified John Doe’s ancestry in the province of Guayas.

Per DNA Doe Project, “In September 2025, a member of the public came forward with information that suggested Missouri Street John Doe could be their missing loved one, Isidro Marcelo Guzmán Quinde. Isidro was born in 1963, and he was born in Guayas, Ecuador. Shortly after this tip came in, the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner confirmed that Isidro Marcelo Guzmán Quinde is the man formerly known as Missouri Street John Doe.”

I'm 99% sure he was recognized from a post on a Spanish-language Facebook page for missing migrants that was made about a week ago that used a digital composite made by one of the users here.

Would it be this facebook post? I created the rendering shown in the post a little over 2 years ago.

Recent comment stating that he looked similar to a user's uncle.

His case really intrigued me. I hope he's resting in peace.

I wonder how he ended up in the dumpster. Murder?

Hypothermia? In April and in Arizona?

Did they mean hyperthermia? hypo is when the body temperature is below a certain temp range but hyper is when its above that. I can imagine that the temperatures do rise alot in Arizona during that time, unless he was found super early in the morning.

The desert gets colder than you'd think at nighttime.
