TUCSON - The Pima County Sheriff's Department responded Thursday, June 7 to a report of human remains found in a remote desert location near Manville Road.

Deputies said they were led to a human a skull. Along with collecting the remains and conducting a thorough search of the area, no other human remains were found.

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

On Thursday, June 7, 2018, at about 1:30 p.m., Pima County Search and Rescue and Patrol deputies responded to a report of human remains found in a remote desert location near Manville Road.

Upon arrival, deputies were led to a human skull. Deputies collected the remains and conducted a thorough search of the area. No other human remains were discovered and the skull was transported to the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner – Forensic Science Center. The medical examiner was able to determine it was the skull of an adult.

I hope at least one of those families gets answers and some closure.

Pima County has 1100 unidentified remains. I couldn't find that this skull was one of them.
