LOL, he reminds me of JBaez, could be his brother....not very fond of him thus far.

Ok, prepping myself for tomatoes, but I actually liked JB lol. Not sure he is the greatest atty, but I like his personality, and I felt he was very honest when he said at the end of the trial that he can go home and tell his family he saved a life. As a huge opponent of the death penalty, I thought his response was pretty moving and heartfelt.

IMHO...
I think he is forever tainted because of his association with Joran van Der Sloot. He used that case as a way to become very famous. It was never really about innocence or guilt to him.... He is seen as having used Natalee Holloway's tragedy to his benefit.
Joran was allowed to roam free and kill again, and Joe Taco was part of that group that failed to hold that kid accountable for his behavior.

I'd say Joe is more infamous than famous....:twocents:

Did he just contradict himself, saying he doesn't know what the strategy is because it's his first day on the job? But he said he's been talking to the family for a while and should have a clue what the strategy is.

IMO at the risk of opposing other sleuthers...lol...I REALLY like what this Joe T. is saying in this PC such as things should have been done sooner and he to me sounds intelligent. I wonder if Mr. Wild Bill was sent by him to investigate and check out the parents story?? If he is a parent I can see him saying he didnt want to defend someone who "may have" harmed a child. He sounds honest despite being a lawyer..lol. I love that he keeps repeating that the main goal is to find lisa!!!!! but could later change...who knows...

I see it as setting up a defence. Bumbling, inept, inefficient investigators muddled the case from day one. Debbie's 'big bad LE accused me' + Tacopino's 'regrets' = criminal defence strategy 101 IMO.

Ditto. He think he will be vey good for the parents throughh the investigative process. Don't know much about his record in the court room (off to look some more in a bit), but I can see him doing a terrific job repping them to media/public /detectives.
