That doesn't make sense to me. If she was showing signs of drunkenness or smelled of wine, they would have taken her blood levels. Something is not adding up here. I can't imagine that the KC police would be that inept.

Didnt he just say that? Or am i dreaming? moo

i thought he was very good. i was very impressed.

Guess he was good if one's more interested in the parents lawyering up than finding THEIR missing baby.

:maddening:

imo

I can't watch it, but I thought someone said he was bashing the police because of not taking her blood levels. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

And what could he have said? He mentioned baby Lisa and the desire of the family for her safe return numerous times.

The lengthy press conference itself guaranteed more press and thus more exposure for finding baby Lisa.

What Mr. Tacopina does from here on out is way more important than this little howdy doo introductory presser. I hope he does not prevent the parents and children from cooperating with LE. If he believes them to be innocent, he should be their advocate while they are cooperating as much as LE needs. He can protect their rights while they assist LE in the search for their daughter.

If he believes them guilty of involvement, I think he will cut off all contact with LE and proclaim his clients to be victims of a tunnel visioned LE. Or, he will limit questions to menial topics.

I think Mr. Tacopina will allow the parents restricted cooperation with LE only, so that they can still stay they are cooperating, but LE really won't be able to get anything more from the family. JMO, MOO, IMO...

After the Casey Anthony case, where her parents and lawyer were saying the same thing, I don't believe it when a lawyer says that anymore, especially not the same lawyer who defended Joran Van Der Sloot.

FTR..I really can't take another child dying and the parent/s lawyering up in order to keep the truth from being revealed... The same applies to men who have managed to totally disappear their wives, who have lawyered up and are still walking around free.....JMHO

Ditto. He think he will be vey good for the parents throughh the investigative process. Don't know much about his record in the court room (off to look some more in a bit), but I can see him doing a terrific job repping them to media/public /detectives.

I might agree with that except for the fact that Joe Tacopina comes with a lot of baggage. He has a reputation and it's not really all that favorable. In the long run it may very well harm them.

I don't think it's a good choice if Deborah and Jeremy are indeed innocent.

.. And now as BS exits the stage.. Entering onto the stage is Tacopina to pick up where BS left off with his check list of priorities in tow..

Priority list is as follows:
-continue whipping the media into a full fledged frenzy.

-feed the pariah that feed off the negativity of the parents soap opera/radaronline lifestyles..

- continue and escalate the circus type atmosphere

- and always always keep in the forefront of your mind that this case has got the potential to go all the way to Casey Anthony status if we play our cards right..

And that's what will generate the big bucks and make them the latest "stars"..

IMO it's just as I predicted all one big money/fame making machine with the family nothing but pawns used to generate both the fame and the money..

Precious baby Lisa.. Well this was never about her, period.. She is nothing but the name and the face for the poster of this twisted production that missing children's cases have become.. Infact, if anything I see their(this newfound mentoring media production) goal would be that she need not be found or discovered just yet.. They want to still drag that out a bit and have a build up of sorts with a major climax at just the right time of their having Lisa found or discovered!!..

That's exactly what's going on here!!!

Precious Lisa it seems as tho us here may indeed be the only one's who have your best interest at heart in desperately wanting you found!! I pray you're safe wherever you are!!

I'm absolutely disgusted at what has now become of our missing children!! Disgusted!!

Totally Agree!!!!!!!

He should have held Lisa's picture up--a poster would have been nice- and said
something like:
"The most important thing is finding this baby and bringing her home."

Instead JT wants moola for defending the parents and opps he wants them to NOT be crucified.

imo

Referring to past cases is not necessarily a predictor of circumstances in present cases.

MOO we learned that baby Lisa is not alive and that mommy and daddy know that, and someone has paid for a topnotch attorney for them.

No way does a truly innocent person hire an attorney like this. JMOO

I read that he charges $750 per hour.

Voluntarily giving myself a T/O. :innocent:

Referring to past cases is not necessarily a predictor of circumstances in present cases.

The guy defended Joran Van der Sloot, who killled one woman in Brazil for sure and left a bloody mess, and one in Aruba who has never been found. I'm not trusting this lawyer, period. And maybe I'm far too cynical now, but I do look at past cases, especially when the exact same words have been said.
