One of the talking heads this week said that this case probably won't go to court for 2 years. At the rate JB is filing motions, it could be delayed that long.

I agree; I just hope the judge slaps him down every time. He's already filed motions against the judge's rulings and judges don't like that. Especially Stricklands.

That's ok....KC will be in the slammer the whole time. She's going to start to go postal on him here soon, just you wait. She's thinking that she's going be acquitted and if he puts this trial off too long she's going to start whining.

I would like to know why Baez isn't getting this stuff. Those results were known months ago. I don't think its right that the DA's office doesn't send this stuff to him in a timely manner. Same with the fingerprint evidence.

I was under the impression that the DNA test was the propert of JG. he paid for it, it wasn't performed by LE. So why should JB be allowed to have it, it doesn't pertain to this case. Also, we don't know if the labs are done processing all the fingerprint evidence.

I feel really sorry for JG & his family too....this could also be potentially a dig at the Grunds for going on Dr. Phil....I know, it sounds dumb...but everything else has been in a backwards sort of way with the defense...I'm going cross eyed from racking my brain. What a waste of time.

Sounds to me like JB doesn’t want to have to pay for a DNA test from Caylee's remains so he wants the report that was given to OCSO that has the information. Free. He can't very well try to say it wasn't Caylee in the trunk of the car if he doesn’t have his own DNA results. Since the prosecutors have only the one hair that was tested and it was all used for that test JB can argue that the test was not right and try to get it thrown out of court.
No death band hair evidence allowed from the car trunk gives him more wiggle room for him to bring reasonable doubt into play to say Casey didn't do it.

IMO as far as forensics that we know of right now his biggest hurdle is the car trunk. Casey's car, Caylee's hair in car, decomp in trunk of car.

I don't think KC will let him get away with dragging it out too long. While it may be beneficial to the defense, KC will no doubt want to get out and start living La Bella Vida.

I have been thinking about reasons for it since I read about this motion. And I can't think of a logical one.

I can think of a JB circus 'out there' one though: by focusing on a motion implying they still don't know who the Father is, they are adding of layer of sub-text that they have ruled out another specific player in the case as being the Father. Or so they'll want the media to surmise to 'clear up' rumours out in the media and web sphere.

I know, it's way out there, but so is JB. I do think come of his motions are filed for media value vs. legal agenda.

Sounds right to me. A second issue may be the paternity question. With this test JG was ruled out, but I'll bet JB would like to know who the father is and IF it ends up being a certain person that others have speculated about, IMO JB would have no problem "going there".

IMO, JB is going to throw SOMEONE under the bus and I think after much consideration he will pick the "best fit". Whether that be JG , RM or someone else. It's a sad thing to see happen, but looking at his prior case I have no doubt he is fully capable.

Bold by me. If I'm not mistaken, JB said in a news interview a few weeks ago, it was just after the hearing where KC had to appear, that he doesn't need all the stuff he's requesting in his motions, that he just wants everything that's out there. Sorry I don't have a link - perhaps someone else will also remember this.

I believe this particular piece of evidence he must request directly from JG, since JG had the test himself. I hope the judge will ask JB to provide a copy of his letter sent to JG requesting it, and a copy of JG's letter back declining to provide it. JB needs to be held responsible for his waste of taxpayer money for court time.

I'd love to hear the costs associated with a motion - I think the amount would surprise people when you think of all the people's time involved for its filing, processing, court time, all the employees involved time up to and including the guards to bring KC to the courtroom. Each motion has got to be incredibly expensive to the state/county. If I lived in FL I'd be raising holy he[[.

I'm very concerned about what JB has done and continues to do. I fear that KC is not receiving adequate representation. I have no emotional empathy for her - that is not the reason for my concern. My concern is her having grounds for appeal based on inadequate representation. I think Judge S is well aware of the situation, and I hope there is something he can do to nip this in the bud before the trial begins.
