Gosh, the more I watch of that Bali 9 documentary, the more I think HM and TS lucked out committing murder in Bali. That's death row?

We must have the same surprised face right now.

Fresh eggs on a table in the background, tomatoes, a room with exercise equipment, and hanging your clothes on the line in the sunshine and fresh air is not what I had in mind as death row.

Well, those cement benches out on the lawn might give someone hemorrhoids, but still.

This is an older report after the arrest and HM is tested for pregnancy. The part where it mentions HM was adopted is false.

“Although they have not given a statement, it is not a problem. We have much evidence including the CCTV footage, fingerprints, the luggage, it shows they are the perpetrators.

“This is premeditated murder. Why? Because we can see how they put the body in the suitcase.”

He said they may be charged under Article 340 of the Criminal Code which carries a death sentence.

Does anyone understand how premeditation was determined by police from how the body was stuffed in suitcase? Did it seem like a method was used that most people would not know about, the breaking of neck, limbs? Was there dismemberment, so a tool was used? The type of suitcase is probably fairly airtight, maybe more so than the other suitcases implying HM and TS knew there would be leakage?

I'm sorry for the grisly questions, just been wondering about it, I suppose we will find out soon enough. It is a gruesome crime and I hope HM and TS pay dearly for it. jmo

Just a guess, but it is the only thing that I can think of.

Translating his comment from “because we can see how they put the body in the suitcase” to “because of the fact that the body was in the suitcase” (you know how we sometimes say ‘how’ when we mean ‘due to the fact’ ... eg: Why do you think I went out last night? Because we can see how the car was parked on the street this morning (instead of in the garage)) - maybe they found Google searches or texts or emails back and forth from prior to the murder that showed things like this …

My impression as well gitana. It's more like a little town in a poverty stricken area in there. Except if you've got some funds you can get pretty much anything you need. I've seen documentaries of people living in third world countries that are worse off than those guys.

I guess you could make the determination that one blow to the face in the heat of an argument that happens to result in death even though you came to your senses when you realized what happened and called for help, makes for an accidental death in the heat of passion.

Multiple blows until she was dead, bending and breaking the body to fit into a suitcase, attempting to clean up and then flee the country might be considered more premeditated? Actually each blow after the initial one might be considered premeditation. At that point they were determined to kill her?

Glad you posted a picture and made note that it may be an older manicure, Kamille.

Her middle finger almost looks swollen. It appears shiny and puffy right under the nail. Growing another horn there too?

Some of the tips of her nails might look retouched?

I agree with RR0004 about the strange way HM displayed her hands in almost every photo I've seen. She either wanted us to notice her manicure or make sure we noted no broken nails and bruises. Someone displaying their hands so obviously made me wonder why.

I'd say some of the nails have been filed down - the set is uneven lengths, even after 2 weeks grow out.

And I also think that after the amount of times the Police have been called on her in the past - she is possibly very aware of what signs Police would be looking for regarding her attacking someone. I'd say she would have that down to a 'T' by now - but being in Bali, the whole 'look at my hands' routine just isn't as effective - its 'out of place'. She is unnaturally manipulating the scene - she is acting, and doing a bad job of it.

True or it could just be the fact that Bali's legal definition of pre-meditation is different to ours. Perhaps any interference of the body in any way constitutes an element of pre-meditation in the Indonesian system. The arrival of Tommy suddenly out of the blue and his comments leads me to believe that this was pre-meditated and he was a willing accomplice. I mean how convenient that the time Heather really loses control and her mother is beaten to death because of it, she has a strong man to help her. I do also believe that they both hit the mum (one in front and one behind) but I believe Heather would have started it after becoming incensed about her mother asking them to pay for the hotel room and Tommy joined in. I also believe they are both vile enough to have slept with each other right after the event in the room as the adrenalin would have been pumping and at that point thought they would be off scot free.

It seems like there's a bit of a leap in logic to say that because the body was in the suitcase, it was premeditated, but perhaps something is lost in translation.

You need family or friends to supply you with food in the gaol, otherwise you are stuck with the rice and a bit of mixture on the menu. Chappell had her sister to supply her with the extras. One of the Bali nine was begging awhile back for help as he hd no one to supply him with food. I think those tht have food barter with it too. There have been reports of plenty of drugs available in the gaol if you have the money.

Middle finger does seem injured and swollen. Answers the same question I also had. How could such a horrific act be carried out without getting hurt herself?

it might just be a lump formed by how she holds a pen to write. I know I have a lump formed on the side of my middle finger from where the pen presses. She may not have visible bruises or scratches because she's young and strong, not like a more fragile 62 yr old who probably shows way more.

Unless (and I do realize this is a stretch) they are of the belief that she may have possibly been alive until they crammed her into the suitcase initially? (just a guess on my part)....then folding her into an unnatural pose obstructed her airway choking her ((brrr pretty cold))

that's the nice side....it doesn't mean inmates aren't attacked and bribed especially if they're foreigners. Men also have more to do for some unfair reason. Plus they never know when they're coming for them, they wake them up in the night, could be any night with no prior warning & that's it.

I'm reading 'Hotel K' & it seems you can get a lot of better treatment by paying the guards. So IDK how that will work for Heather. I was also thinking she's probably someone who was born to live in a prison environment, it's like she's being asking for it all these years......some people even have drug dealing business inside.....wonder if she'll try to join that knowing she was a budding criminal and wannabe 🤬🤬🤬🤬 before. Guards also regularly beat prisoners harshly unlike in western prisons so that's scary.

It does seem okay-ish on that Bali9 documentary but you can see how nervous * constantly scared the one of Indian descent comes across.....probably a tonne more happens than they can show or tell.

See this is what I was talking about earlier. The haves and the have nots being separated. Clearly these inmates have some money. They could not possibly be housed with inmates who have nothing, wouldn't need to wait for firing squad they would kill each other. Was this the foreigners death row wing? Very interesting. Jmo

IMO HM killed the only person who loved her by all accounts none of Mrs Mack's relatives or friends cared for HW big question is would they feel sympathy for her and sent money idk maybe someone will for a short period of time but for decades she'll be begging for charity. We already see TM has a fund site. Will he share with HW idk might be each man for him/herself. Does anyone think TS loves HW, ha! Jmo

ciao

That thought did cross my mind too.
Excuse the gruesomeness to follow but, I had wondered if the body had kept bleeding in the suitcase (or if they could tell that that had happened) which may have determined she was still alive.
I also think that if that is the outcome, one or both of them could have stopped this madness - which brings me also to believe that due to the amount of times that SvWM was attacked by her daughter and it didnt cause death, that there is a point that would be very distinguishable to HM between what is assault to injure and what is assault to death - 'do I go further' or 'Do I stop now'.

Then again, Police and the FBI may have a lot more regarding this investigation to call it 'premeditated'.
:dunno:

  • then placed in yellow plastic bag/s [? hotel laundry bag/s ?]
  • then placed in silver suitcase [ SWM's name on blue tag as seen in previously posted video]

My God, looking at that yellow bag. Don't tell me the mother is in there. Looking at the case the bundle is the same size. How on earth have they folded her up to fit in there? Gruesome! This realy strikes at you. Then to see the daughter acting like nothing had happened. Pure evil!!

No, IMO that suitcase is a smaller one that matches the one they used for Sheila. That bundle is way too small. IMO
