Wasn't Sheila's memorial this weekend?

I went and got my first gel manicure this weekend...
Can't wait to see how long it lasts.

It's very hard to watch the video without feeling sad. Sheila lived her life with grace and dignity. Her life should not have ended this way.

Rest in Peace, Sheila. Enjoy Heaven.

I agree, especially when I think of her having sought out Heather to take her on this trip. So now I keep thinking of the timeline of Heather and Tommy's relationship. So was Heather living at the Conrad? I read she had moved into a hotel downtown "recently" per some article which is why SWM went looking for her and I wonder if the charges there on SWM were actually over and above the amount SWM had authorized. What else did the friends of SWM know to tell her not to take Heather to Bali or was it more along the lines of "She's such an ingrate, don't even bother, she'll just ruin it for you" kind of thing. *sigh* So many questions....

Personally I think that HM did one of her "disappearing acts" in July for a few days but she was still technically living with SWM at the condo. I think because she was now 18, SWM couldn't do anything about her disappearing acts anymore so she just had to let HM go and hope that she would return. And unfortunately she still loved her daughter unconditionally and wanted her to return. She found out where she was because of the credit card company. Otherwise, who knows how long HM would have stayed at the Conrad racking up a hefty charge card bill for SWM to deal with.

I believe that HM returned to the condo to stay with her mother after they were thrown out of the hotel because she had no where else to go that was in keeping with her "standards" of what she deserved. And SWM once again forgave her and took her back in and they had what SWM thought was a good couple of weeks before they were to leave on their pre-planned trip. What SWM didn't know was that once again her daughter was using her and that she had a really big surprise in store for her on the trip. We know one surprise was TS's presence on their vacation. Was there another one planned?

I always wonder what might have happened if SWM had put her foot down after the hotel incident and not taken HM back in. Just packed up a nice suitcase for her and changed the locks. I suppose she would have gone to stay with TS for a while. And I suppose they still would have plotted on how to get HM's money and SWM may have ended up dead in the US instead.

I think SWM's friends and family just wished she would turn HM loose to fend for herself and stop being abused emotionally and physically by her. She was a legal adult now and SWM was no longer responsible for her. I think they knew HM would make the vacation hell for her and I think they wanted SWM to get away on her own to see that she didn't need to rely on HM for companionship anymore.

Referencing "just packed up a nice suitcase for her" . I doubt you thought of its eerily coincidence.

Just like when I was going to say, "Fly Free now, Sheila", and then it only made me start thinking about TS getting to fly free so he could end up taking part in her murder. :sigh:

So, premeditated murder for both of them ..... good! And they are still investigating if it was planned or not.

I sure hope the authorities there are not being intimidated by pressure from the US lawyers or the UK human rights group. I hope they see the general consensus that most people are appalled at what these two did and believe they should be punished to the full extent of the law in that country based on the evidence found.

I hope they also realize that the pair of them are lying liars who lie. And neither showed any remorse for what happened when they were arrested. They both just continued to lie and to cause a ruckus as if their status as US citizens meant that they deserved special treatment. I hope they are no longer getting it although something tells me that they probably are. Especially her since her unborn child has it's own lawyer.

Racist remark sparked Bali hotel murder: police
Date October 2, 2014 - 6:54P

"According to Heather, Tommy was offended by what the victim said during a quarrel in room 317," Mr Nengah said.
"The victim called Tommy a ******. Tommy retorted, saying, 'Your husband was a "******" too'. Sheila then said, 'Yes, but a rich one'."

Really? Not buying it.
I believe the Police saying that that is what TS has claimed, but I don't believe that is anywhere near the truth of the matter.

Bali criminal investigation chief Nengah Sadiarta also alleged for the first time that the murder weapon in the gruesome killing of Sheila von Wiese-Mack was a glass fruit bowl.

 Poor Sheila!

Mr Nengah said one of the suspects, the victim's daughter, Heather Mack, 19, had pointed the finger of blame at the other, her boyfriend, Tommy Schaefer, 21.

Which I think is what sleuthers suspected she would do all along.
Rebuke any responsibility, and blame her boyfriend.

It's likely the new lawyer will be Muhammad Rifan, who represented five of the Bali Nine, including death row inmates Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan.

These are serious lawyers.
I would seem to be that the Death Penalty is already on the table for them if they have these lawyers (with Bali DP experience) involved.

Mr Schaefer's fingerprints were found on the broken glass, and there was blood on his jacket that matched Ms von Wiese-Mack's, Mr Nengah said.
It's unclear from police notes when Heather Mack entered her mother's room, but CCTV shows her leaving it at 9.52am and then going back and forth carrying clothes and suitcases. Police allege the time of the murder was most likely between 8.40am and 9.52am.

Interesting timeline...

CCTV footage of the day of the murder shows Ms von Wiese-Mack entering her room, number 317, at 3.48am – the last time she was seen alive.
At 8.40am, Mr Schaefer was seen leaving his room, 616, and going into Ms von Wiese-Mack's room. Mr Nengah said he appeared to be hiding something under his shirt.
"We suspect it was the fruit bowl … and that he used it to hit the victim," Mr Nengah said.
"We found broken glass and the metal handle [from the fruit bowl] in room 616. The fruit bowl was from room 616."
Mr Schaefer's fingerprints were found on the broken glass, and there was blood on his jacket that matched Ms von Wiese-Mack's, Mr Nengah said.

Later, Ms Mack was seen outside in the hallway collecting a luggage trolley and taking it to room 317.

So when is it supposed that that SvWM offended TS?
Certainly not just before he hid a fruitbowl under his shirt from his room - took it downstairs - entered SvWM & HM's room and bludgeoned her to death.
No mention of any distress or even one tear from HM - she was too busy doing a clean-up.

3.48am –
CCTV Footage shows Ms von Wiese-Mack entering her room, (room number 317)
This was the last time Sheila was seen alive.

8.40am -
Mr Schaefer was seen leaving his room, (room number 616), and going into Ms von Wiese-Mack's room (317) with the suspected fruit bowl under his shirt.

8.40am and 9.52am -
Police allege the time of the murder was most likely between 8.40am and 9.52am.

9.52am -
CCTV shows Heather Mack leaving Room 317 at and then going back and forth carrying clothes and suitcases to room 616.

9.52am - 11:00AM
Ms Mack was seen outside in the hallway collecting a luggage trolley and taking it to room 317.

11.00AM -
Ms Mack and Mr Schaefer left room 317 pushing the hotel trolley with a suitcase on it, wrapped in a white bedsheet.
They went in the lift up to room 616, then down to the lobby, trying to check out of the Hotel.

As the pair tried to check out:
  • A security guard went to room 616 and found a "do not disturb" sign on the door.
  • A receptionist asked Ms Mack about the blood seeping out of the suitcase onto the sheet covering it.
  • Ms Mack and Mr Shaefer insisted they would not pay for the room because Ms von Wiese-Mack would do it later, when she checked out. But hotel staff refused to let them go.
  • The pair loaded the large suitcase into the back of a taxi, then went back into the hotel allegedly to collect more luggage, but instead they escaped out a side entrance and caught another taxi to the airport, then to a different hotel.
  • The original taxi driver waited over an hour for Ms Mack and Mr Schaefer to return before unloading the suitcase from the boot.

Ooh ... I wonder if this little flurry of media activity means they'll be going to court soon? Looks like they want to interrogate TS again, according to the SMH article. Just waiting for him to get settled with a new lawyer .... a death penalty lawyer at that. Maybe this will be his last chance to talk, and I wonder if he will, if he is informed that HM 'just watched' and he did everything - other than find a suitcase trolley (that only hotel staff usually use) and carry clothes and suitcases between rooms.

It's likely the new lawyer will be Muhammad Rifan, who represented five of the Bali Nine, including death row inmates Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan.

RSBM

I notice that Muhammad Rifan also represented the 14-year old Aussie boy who was caught with a small amount of pot in Bali in 2011.

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/new...g-boy-flies-home/story-e6frg6nf-1226213610012

Interestingly, Muhammad Rifan is also named as a lawyer and shareholder who assisted Aussie former lawyer Peter Johnson by using his 'local influence'. Peter Johnson is alleged to have carried out a fraud in Bali where millions of dollars were lost by Aussies investing in property there.

http://www.andrew-drummond.com/2012/07/west-ham-defender-blows-whistle-on.html

And then there is this ... all kinds of shonky things happening in Bali, and Muhammad Rifan has skirted the edges of some of it.

Putu Suika, previously deputy chief of Palangkaraya District Court, embezzled a car and was moved to Mataram District Court. As a judge in Bali, he fraternised and borrowed money from Muhammad Rifan of Austrindo Law Office, before favouring Rifan's client in a case he presided over. Oddly, he was also appointed Chairman of the Judicial Review Panel looking into the ‘Bali 9’ cases.
