So if the system is so corrupt why don't we have someone selling stories about these two and their life while incarcerated? It just seems strange that there is not a peep about them anywhere.

So what it the signifigance of theis prison transfer for HN and TS. I see the date is looming. What is supposed to happen and what does it mean if something doesn't happen. i think it has to do with charges but I'd like to know more so I understand the implications of it and what it means to the case and HM and TS.

1. A warrant of detention issued by an investigator as intended by Article 20, shall only be valid for at most twenty days
2. ….. may be extended by a competent public prosecutor for at most forty days
4. After the sixty day period, the investigator must have released the suspect from detention by operation of the law

Article 29
2. The extension .... shall be granted for at most thirty days and in the event such detention is still required, it may again be extended for at most thirty days

Do we know which articles of detention they are being help under? These ones, which seem to me are relevant in this case, seem to say that they can be held for up to 120 days before charge or release, with the proper extensions.

I hope they are both held accountable for Sheila's death. I'll admit I'm somewhat worried that Heather will get out of the serious charges by claiming she ran into the bathroom and was oh so afraid and robotically followed Tommy's orders afterwards. Is Tommy really going to fully protect her and not point his finger?

I'm very anxious to see how this will play out in a court system there.

It truly is in his best interest to do this and I'm sure it's been pointed out to him by his "team". You'll notice how long it took to get this "confession" out of him. I think he really had to weigh the pros and cons.

IF this was a premeditated murder planned by both of them (and I think it was, at least from the time of the argument in the lobby) and they are convicted as such, it is a devastating outcome for both of them and their unborn child. If he doesn't go along with what HM wants, he probably knows she's just crazy enough to blow the whistle on both of them (or just him) that this was a premeditated, planned murder.

If they can convince a panel of judges that this was all him in an emotional fit of rage over a racial slur and she gets off on all charges, she will be able to return to the US, collect her inheritance and start to raise their child. While also being able to send funds to TS to make his 15 years or less in Kerobokan tolerable. She can even spend lots of time in Bali with their child visiting him or relocate there temporarily to make his life easier. At least this is how it will look to TS when explained to him. Now whether she would actually hold up her end of the bargain or not would be questionable. I think she would though, for a while until she finds another guy to occupy her time. Imagine the poor martyr she'd make of herself in that situation. Torn between the love of her life and the death of her mother at his hands. Boo hoo hoo. However I'd imagine SWM's family will try to have those funds tied up for a long time and would be launching a wrongful death civil suit of their own against her, so it probably wouldn't really play out that way. But there's no need to tell TS that now is there?

It does make perfect sense the way you state it. Thanks. I can only hope the investigation revealed a premeditated plan via phones, computers, fruit bowls, etc., Yes, I hope SWM's estate gets tied up in the courts for a long time and neither Heather nor Tommy gets a cent of it.

Sadly, I think that you are right Kamille. Someone/many people have convinced Tommy that taking the fall for the murder is the ‘right thing’ to do for himself and the baby. This may hit close to his heart, if his own father was not particularly involved in his life and he wished he was. It is all about getting the death penalty off the table, and the baby.

I wish US media was following this more closely, so that we could be sure that HM is still in Bali jail. Because if the prosecutor is going to go for Tommy’s (and Heather’s) story, that HM was just a witness, surely she would be out on bail now. Maybe not out of Bali, but out of jail pending trial. :waitasec:

Our media is full of the other Bali murderess - as the victim’s kids live here and in NZ - and the progress in that investigation. I’m just not getting anything on Sheila’s case at this time. :sigh:

I don’t like this quietness. Who knows what is happening? .... could be anything! I hope that media somewhere is interested, and they are just waiting for new developments. :tantrum:

Tommy is being supplied with a lawyer in Indonesia free of charge. He apparently is also being helped by an organization out of the UK called Reprieve. They have apparently sent a lawyer and an advocate to see him as well. As far as I know, there is also an American attorney, Thomas Durkin, in Chicago who has done some work on behalf of TS and his mother. Not sure at this point what the donated funds are being used for other than to send money to TS so he can get better food and make phone calls home to the US. I also understand that his mother may be paying him a visit after the charges are laid so I suppose she will be able to use some of the funds for that as well.

I think the Gofund got up to 10,460. It was indicated that a couple of hundred was used for phone calls and she was planning on using the rest to visit him once the trial began.

It is now 2:20pm in Bali on 13th November ... and I can't find any MSM about HM & TS yet.

The only news out of Bali that I can find today is that New Zealander Leeza Ormsby (possession of ½ a joint) was released from Kerobokan yesterday after her 9 month sentence, arrived back in Australia this morning ... then flew directly on to NZ.
