I'm really sorry to hear that actually. I wonder how many people on death row in Indonesia are actually murderers?

MOO

Yes, I am sad to hear it too. We don't do the death penalty here and, quite frankly, I would rather see it applied to all the bloody pedophiles of the world than these two young guys.

Sukumaran and Chan based their clemency bids on the strong efforts they have made at rehabilitation since they were locked in Kerobokan prison in 2005.

Sukumaran learns and teaches art to fellow inmates, runs a computer lab and a t-shirt printing room, offering the products for sale outside, with revenue flowing back to the prison.

Chan has become deeply involved in the affairs of the prison church.

Each has apologised and shown remorse for being involved in a conspiracy to import 8.2kg of heroin from Bali to Australia in 2005.

I'm unable to find how many people are currently on death row there ... though I think we found the number at one time, over 100 maybe? Can't recall.
But this article says that there are 64 drug convicts sitting on death row at this time.

The Vine stuff makes me sick from what little I can see. Fools. It's going to take a firing squad to wake that girl up. How much longer before we see this case handled "quickly, accurately and professionally"? I'll admit I'm worried the Judges won't see the shallow ugliness I see in her. Killing her mother, no problem, she could care less. MOO!

I don't know, this is some pretty basic evilness, I think the outcome is going to be a little more dire than HM is envisioning in her mind...or at least what I think that is given her choice of what to post online or how best to use the internet.

Other than her "tweaking" comment, is there anything else she's been posting or commenting on?

Nothing that isn't on here that I have seen...my thoughts were surely Mr. Elkins said the equivalent of "Limit your use of the internet to business and don't post on ANY social media sites dimwit".

Yes! He must have to keep urging her to act like she cares, stop fawning all over the man that helped you kill your mother, and refrain from gleeful giggling over criminal activities especially online. However, I think part of her nonchalant attitude comes from being assured by said attorney that she's going to get off easy on these charges. Attorney thinks he can explain her smiling as hiding how emotionally undone she is over losing her mother when everyone can see how little she cares. I hope those Judges take a real close look and see the evilness.

I just don't think she is savvy nor smart enough to pull off this "woe is poor, pitiful pregnant me and caught up in a situation that is not of my own making" scenario she has going.

I would have thought he'd advise her to spend her time in Keroboken wisely by NOT getting involved in more illegal activities. It is illegal to possess a cell phone in prison isn't it? Didn't work well for JVDS down there in Peru. Just because someone is selling them, doesn't mean you have the legal right to purchase and use one? Or am I just being crazy and Keroboken really is just a run down village in Indonesia where you get locked up at night for your own protection? Sort of like locking the doors to your house at night so no one can come in and shank you or anything?

Even visitors have to hand in their mobile phones as they enter Kerobokan ...

After more than two hours, finally the guard at the gate yells out my number in Bahasa and an Indonesian woman next to me shoves me forward, I head through the metal door and into a small room packed with guards, I hand over the grubby plastic card with my number on it, and my mobile phone. Two of them start rummage through my bag of groceries.

http://www.news.com.au/travel/trave...of-a-bali-prison/story-fnizu68q-1226682658853

Once inside the small reception area I had to hand over all electrical items, camera, cell phone, palm pilot and show some ID. Everyone around me seemed familiar with the routine and were relaxed. The officer at the desk asked me who I there to see and I hastily wrote the name of one of the Bali Nine.

http://www.baliblog.com/travel-tips...elle-corby-in-kerobokan-jail-bali-part-i.html

They bring basics - food and water - and treats, chips or chocolate or burgers from McDonald's. They bring books - motivational tracts are a favourite for some - and DVDs for distraction. One day this week, Matthew Norman - about to be jailed for life - watched Police Academy. One by one the parents of the Bali nine knock, hand across mobile phones and a $2 bribe to venture through the maze of gates and guards before reaching the visitors' courtyard, where shade, mats, drinks and even privacy can be provided - for a price.

I suspect there's not a whole lot of communication between Elkin and HM right now. Indeed, I'm not sure he's the best one to dole out advice. Outfitting HM (and TS) with Bibles and crosses for the cameras is pathetic in the US (Paris Hilton clutching her Bible - really convincing, huh?). Besides....there's a certain irony to murdering your mother/prospective mother-in-law for $ and then suddenly discovering the Bible (but not repenting) - in a country where Christians are the minority. Seriously? What message are they trying to send and who do they think they are impressing?

I think HM is settling in, trying to bond and curry favor with anyone around there. That's probably been good while she was in the jail - her guards would rather watch a happy American brat than a spoiled one, and they likely don't get many opportunities to observe rich American mother-murdering heiresses. HM is demonstrating that she can keep her 'attitude' in check when it suits her. Notice that in the recent batch of photos, there are at least two showing local men touching her and she's clearly comfortable with it - almost as though they're her foster-uncles.

Kerobokan will be a somewhat different challenge. For starters, she'll have to get along with her fellow prisoners. Interesting that she's already managed to get access to a cellphone.

I suspect she might handle the situation better than TS. She'll have to learn to control her 'attitude'. I think TS is going to struggle to stay away from drugs.

Yes she is but back in Chicago, there seems to be a bit of justice for HM’s homie.

VonMar held in lieu of $250,000 bail.

"A local rapper and Internet prankster who filmed himself and some cohorts trashing a Gold Coast 7-Eleven on New Year's Day is now facing charges for the damage they caused.
On Facebook, where he posted the video, which has garnered more than 2.2 million views, Irving said he aspired to be like the stars of "Jackass."

Well, in a way, VonMar succeeded in being a "jackass." :)

Very happy to hear this fool is in big trouble now. :skip: :skip: :skip:

The video here is more complete and has sound. He's spouting that "put 'em in a coffin" saying. Wonder how HM feels now. Still cool?

Nice. Now the other stores that he's trashed in all the other videos should get in on the action.

And someone should notify the local reporters about his tie in with HM. Especially their recent communication. ;)

Nah...he'll be fine. It's not like he smuggled drugs out of the country or anything. :notgood:

So many fans pouring in money for his bail. Ha! Only 13 fans raised $190. Goes to show you, crime does not pay. I hope HM finds out killing her mother doesn't pay either.

Well at least we can consider him and his fans as NOT a very good source of funds for HM while she's in prison. :giggle:

He was out on bail right away anyway, unless someone else is running his FB, so I suspect he was just trying to use his 15 minutes for monetary gain. He collected enough for a bag of weed for the weekend I guess. Put em in a coffin. Squad.

February I think?

Thanks :) Maybe they are going to wait for the birth then, before commencing the legal proceedings ... if it is that soon. Then they won't be interrupted, and there will be no hint of the trial causing stress to the unborn baby.

(And maybe her milk will dry up from stress, once she is charged with murder/premeditated murder, and she'll be forced to place the baby in a good home OUT of that jail :gaah: )
