Bankrupt Casey Anthony interviewed by KPHO CBS in Phoenix #2

The Bankruptcy Trustee is demanding that Casey Anthony turn over her COMPUTER
She claimed a laptop as exempt in her bankruptcy filing.

They say "the laptop may have value substantially beyond the allowed exemptions and/or may contain financial information or information that may lead to assets."

"The Trustee has requested the turn-over of the computer from Debtor's counsel.
Debtor's counsel has represented that there is nothing of value to the Bankruptcy Estate on the computer and has not turned over the computer."

EXHIBIT A
letter to Casey Anthony's bankruptcy attorney(s) on April 11, 2013
"It is also become evident after the hearing of April 9, 2013, that I am going to need to inquire in much more detail the financial transactions that Ms. Anthony had with her counsel. I have written to Mr. Baez requesting the information on an informal basis. I have not had a response from him as of yet. This is to request of Mr. Greene and his office, and any other lawyers that may have been working on her case and not in his office, to provide me with detail lists of the gifts which she received and from whom these gifts came. I will, of course, protect the identity of the people. I would appreciate this as quickly as possible."

Thank you, again, Think Tank. The more I read, the more I laughed! :floorlaugh:

This Trustee is not playing any games, and it looks as though he's not going to allow Casey and her team play any on him, either, is he? :great:

Thanks for posting this - the best news ever!
It's about time.
Even if she erases any info, they can still retrieve it, right?
If she substitutes another computer, they will be able to figure that out, won't they?

Prayers to everyone in OK.
This weather has been devastating.

Everyone else has let her get away with murder. She naturally assumed the Bankruptcy Court would follow along.

ALLLLL of her attorneys are included in this net!

Those lawyers claiming not to know who/when/where she got monies doesn't make sense. Lawyers keep records of everything.

Wonder how many more will jump ship using "exhausting funds" as an excuse.

It appears that the Trustee and his attorney do not trust Casey Anthony.

"It is also become evident after the hearing of April 9, 2013, that I am going to need to inquire in much more detail the financial transactions that Ms. Anthony had with her counsel."

and

". . . the laptop may have value substantially beyond the allowed exemptions and/or may contain financial information or information that may lead to assets."

I hope he goes after her and her team with righteous indignation!!! And I pray he succeeds! I hope he's reading all of Think Tank's posts and lists. (Still wish we had the back story on why he rescinded his request to auction her "story.")

I think the BK will eventually be approved, but it is not the walk in the park that CA anticipated. It would be great if the BK trustee could determine that she does not have enough debt to even be considered for BK! I can envision all the fisties and fits that she is throwing. I just wonder if she treats all these attorneys the way she treated the trial attorneys. All kissy, kissy, and then turning on them in the blink of an eye.

I especially hope he gets a copy of the list of all her attorneys.

I hope the names of every person who sent her money are revealed.

The Trustee's attorney said that he would keep the names of the donors private ... I just hope the attorneys are forced to turn over detailed information about who donated to her and how much and when.

The funny thing is JB is trying his typical ignore and stonewall but this time the result will not be in HER benefit. The Trustee can simply say he's not granting BK until he gets the info he's asking for. :floorlaugh:

The bankruptcy trustee and his attorney DID get the list of all of her attorneys ... and other info ....

Hope the bankruptcy JUDGE holds alllllll of the attorneys accountable to report exactly [not in general terms] how much money she got from donations and gifts.

Snipped by me...

Maybe after researching it's value, he found that the bid (10K) was a grossly overbid number for the rights to OCA's "story".

This sounds like an awful lot of work for these poor exhausted pro bono lawyers. I hope she is not holding her breath.... or maybe I don't .....:snooty:

The bankruptcy judge advised the Trustee, in the last Hearing on April 9th, to try to find another way to monetize her estate, but the judge did not outright deny the Motion.

The Trustee and one of her bankruptcy attorneys Ferwerda, filed a joint motion asking for more time to file Case Law regarding selling her property, which was granted. They had until May 22, 2013 to file the Case Law.

Then, the Trustee withdrew his Motion on May 7, 2013.

So, maybe the Trustee has been working on another way to word his Motion to sell her property so that the bankruptcy judge will approve it, if he RE-files his Motion at a later date? Guess we will wait and see what happens next ....

Next Hearing is May 30, 2013 for Zenaida and Roy Kronk to find out what happens next with their civil suits.

Tim Miller has a Hearing on July 2, 2013 to find out about his civil suit.

The time has expired for FCA to have taken her Appeal to the Florida Supreme Court. Have not seen anything regarding that on the docket.

Interesting .... strange .... Mr. Baez has NOT filed a "Proof of Claim" with the bankruptcy court to confirm that FCA owes him $500,000.... deadline is June 24th.

This is sarcasm - right?

My thoughts are that he is going to try to weasel out of this by telling the BK trustee that he told her if she hadn't been indigent the services he supplied for her during her defence would have cost her 500K, and we have had AZLawyer confirm that sum is not extraordinary.

Now Baez is probably hoping he didn't put that kind of a "bill" in writing to her, but was using it as leverage to act as her agent after she was acquitted and he resigned as her counsel.

Don't know if this link has been posted before, but it has some opinions on the trustee's w/d the offer to sell the story.

Great article! Thanks for posting it, I had not seen it.
The Trustee's attorney says it was a "strategic move" to withdraw the Motion to sell her story, but he is still "very much interested."

So, attorney Sheaffer thinks the Trustee is waiting to see what happens with Zenaida and Kronk and Tim Miller civil suits, to see if there is a trial where Casey Anthony must testify -- which, in Sheaffer's estimation, would raise the value of her "story" which the Trustee wants to eventually auction off.

Casey Anthony owns rights to her story again

excerpts:

Channel 9's Kathi Belich asked the trustee why he's no longer interested in Anthony’s story, but he said he is still very much interested.

The trustee's lawyer said after the hearing that withdrawing the request was a strategic move.

Anthony is fighting two defamation lawsuits filed by two people who accuse her of blaming them for her daughter’s death before she went to trial and claimed that Caylee drowned.

“Take the offers away and hope that there's a trial in the case,” said WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer. “There may be a trial in which Casey testifies that may generate interest that may drive up the price of her story.”

The only offer for her story made public was $10,000.
“The offers are low because whoever buys the story knows they have to have her cooperation and they have to have a market and those questions are both open as to one or both,” said Sheaffer.
