The bankruptcy judge has ruled in Casey Anthony's favor [again] and granted her attorney Debra Ferwerda, an extension of time to file an ANSWER to Zenaida and Kronk's new Complaints. [Casey's side had already been given 30 days to file the ANSWER(s), plus they got the 12 extra days since the DEADLINE of August 21st was MISSED, and Ferwerda asked for more time.

The ANSWER(s) are now DUE OCTOBER 3, 2013.

TexasEquuSearch has a DEADLINE of Sept 4, 2013 [tomorrow] to file their AMENDED COMPLAINT.

Well, I guess Judge K Rodney May has affirmed that justice is blind. I thought that phrase was supposed to represent justice's impartiality but, apparently, in this case it means it is blind to facts and common sense.

I am so disappointed. I hope that all the people who have "dirty hands" in this affront against Caylee suffer the same fate as the murderer in The Tell-Tale Heart ~ for they have dismembered her and concealed her under the floorboards of justice as surely as Poe's narrator did with his victim.

I remain, simply, disgusted.

On the bankruptcy docket they are doing Casey's attorney, Debra Ferwerda, a big favor and "reminding" her that she has not done a technical step of serving a copy of the ORDER which gives her 30 more days to file an ANSWER to Zenaida and Kronk, on the parties in the case.

So, not only did the judge give her 30 more days even after they missed the DEADLINE ... now the court is letting her get by with not doing another mandatory thing, and the court clerk is HELPING her by reminding her, instead of ruling against Debra Ferwerda for her failure to do what she is supposed to do. She is already past the “3 day” deadline to file the service. She should have filed it by Sept 7th – and the court clerk is “reminding” her on Sept 9th.

It is infuriating!

Maybe its a sign that "Team OCA" is off the rails. All this work for what? Postponing the inevitable? There can't be much glory in defending OCA anymore, as she's barley a blip on the radar now.

In my opinion, it shows favoritism by the bankruptcy court/judge towards Casey Anthony's attorney. I doubt they would be so kind as to "remind" Zenaida, Kronk, or TES if they missed a deadline to do something.

I believe the bankruptcy judge is anxious to rule in Casey Anthony's favor and throw out the Zenaida and Kronk, and maybe also TES cases as soon as he can and give her the "fresh start" that her attorneys say she deserves.

Looks like she may never have to do a deposition or testify at trial, if all is discharged in bankruptcy.

Nothing surprise me about the courts anymore. They lean over backward to protect the offender.
We watched as Judge Perry virtually walked Baez through the case, allowing him negligence, contempt, mistakes, late filings, time after time, so this courtesy to Ferwerda is situation normal..

I'm confused too. My thoughts are as yours.

Even if they get her to testify, how will they know when she is being truthful? I guess that GA will not be able to confirm the "drowning" story as he could be in trouble (Not that anything would happen if he did. The courts are tired of messing with them).

Just color me confused about most everything except believing that CA will ever tell the truth!

I am thoroughly baffled myself, and have the exact same questions!
I have been following the bankruptcy docket closely and NOTHING has been filed asking to take a depo of Casey Anthony, by Zenaida, and nothing filed granting a motion to take depo.

Zenaida and Kronk filed Motions in March, asking the bankruptcy judge to allow them to take her depo, and they were both DENIED WITHOUT PREJUDICE in April.

There are outstanding motions by Zenaida and Kronk which are scheduled to be heard at the Hearing Sept 17th. To decide if their cases are dischargeable in bankruptcy court.

I have emailed Matt Morgan and asked why nothing on the bankruptcy docket, and got a reply that discovery is not filed in federal court.

Still perplexed .... nothing is filed in the Zenaida civil case in Orlando either.
And TES' attorney filed (3) Notices to take Deposition in federal court/bankruptcy court, along with the cancellation notices, and this all showed up on the docket.

Matt Morgan said that discovery is not "electronically" filed -- in federal court. Not sure what that means???

I totally do not understand how Zenaida's attorney(s) are now allowed to take her depo, or which judge allowed it, and don't know if they are restricted to specific questions about what FCA said about "Zanny" -- and nothing about FCA's finances.

Matt Morgan said that Casey Anthony most likely will file an Objection to the deposition, but has not done so yet.
