Circumstances of disappearance
On Tuesday February 22, little Basia leaves for school around 10:00 a.m.
The same day, at 4 p.m., the parents begin to worry about their daughter, who should have returned home long ago after finishing classes. The neighbor's son tell them that Basia was not at school that day. The worried parents decide to notify the police.
A lot of contradictory information begins to flow to the Majchrzaks. There are people who claim to have seen a girl at the cemetery. Another in the company of a man, and others in Germany. All the information related to the same time, so the parents did not know who to believe... The family and local residents without hesitation began to act and search for themselves. However, the girl was nowhere to be found. The police are questioning local residents, but the investigation is still making no progress.
In 2008, the police carried out an age assessment which showed a possible appearance of the young girl several years after her disappearance. In 2015, police took DNA samples from the missing woman's parents. This procedure allows you to compare the DNA of people in the NN database in Poland and abroad.
Despite the years that have passed, Basia Majchrzak has still not been found.
