Barge/Tourist boat collision in Philly

Aww, I'm sorry that happened to them. No doubt it was a shock. I have to believe the company didn't know. They wouldn't want that negative exposure IMO.

Still love the ducks! Sorry. I've just always wanted to go on one.

ETA: To be honest, I don't understand why the ducks are being blamed for this accident. It seems to be totally the tugboats fault, from what I have read. The duck was adrift. It attempted numerous contacts with the tugboat, which were not responded to. Am I looking at this the wrong way?

No B you are not looking at it the wrong way. I have to go back and search but supposedly now they say the TUG operator turned down the radio because he was on a cell phone call. Don't quote me on that, but I did hear that on TV.

Undoubtedly the "Duck" people had no idea these people were in from Hungary" but heck ya think someone in this city would have communicated this. Lady, I'm going to give you a "quack whistle" and put you on one of them things and let ya ride until your hearts content.:crazy:

Well, I'm rather noise sensitive, so the quack whistles may very well drive me over the edge. But I think the ducks are the coolest thing since sliced bread. We used to have them in Baltimore, but they stopped it before I ever got to go on one.

Rode the ducks in Baltimore also. Sorry you missed them. That quacker is rather annoying.

I rode the Ducks in Boston. I loved every second of it and would Duck in any city I visit in the future. There are "quack-free" zones on the Boston route. I'm actually thinking about goin down to Philly for a tour as I really only see the city from 76 or 676 when passing through and when I go to CBP! Completely OT... Go Phils!

There are "quacker free" zones on the Philly ducks also. I love Philly, it is a really neat town for a tour. I will ride the ducks again too, love it.:dance:
