On December 24, 2021 at 8.45 am, the lifeless body of a man was found on the beach of Heist near Vissershuldeplein.
The autopsy revealed that the man drowned, with no signs of violence. To date, the identity of this man is unknown.
He is of Asian origin and between 25 and 35 years old. He was 1.74 m tall and weighed 91 kg. He had black hair about 6 inches long with forehead baldness. He had a black beard and mustache. The man had several large (older) scars, including left and right on the jaws, on the left shoulder and on the back of the left shoulder.

He had shoe size +/- 36 and in the man's pocket was a pack of cigarettes, including Dutch inscription. The man was wearing gray Celio jeans; a brown sweater with a stand-up collar from Celio; a brown T-shirt from the Celio brand and underpants from the Underwear brand.
About 75 meters from the body were two shoes of the brand Kalenji, size 43. It is not clear whether these shoes belong to this man.
