We have heard the media reports of the so called coroner's report. To my knowledge, the information in the report was not even cited in the bail hearing so I'm not sure where the media got the information from. I have read some horrific rumours about the supposed state that Faye Lin was found in, but of course no one can quote any official source for any of this so it's hard to say what is fact and what is fiction.

The other three girls have been separated from DD and AD for 3 weeks and their adoptive father has been there for most of this time. They have had the opportunity to tell authorities everything that was going on in the family home from their perspective. And yet, there are no charges related to anything that has been rumoured other than the fact that they did not seek medical assistance for Faye Lin and she died as a result.

We can't jump to conclusions that the early media reports had any factual information in them. So far the charges against them certainly don't reflect that. Still waiting to see if Faye Lin's father goes public with anything that he may know about the facts of the case. That might be the one chance we have of hearing anything other than rumours and innuendo.

Yes, I took that response (if she actually said it) to mean that when they found Faye Lin in an unresponsive state they called the police and they didn't do anything to save her.

It appears that the media was asleep and forgot to report that he had made bail. And if the residents of Belize want them to remain in the country and face these charges in court, they are going to have to let them stay somewhere and stop harassing them. Demanding that they not stay in their neighbourhood is not going to make the courts revoke their bail and send them back to jail. They are making their country seem a little uncivilized with all this IMO.

Not sure why a press release from 2014 was quoting DD as the president of HIMI but his own resume indicates that he left there in March 2012.

So here is my rough timeline. Any input/additions/corrections appreciated!

Rough timeline:

~ 1996/7: Anke meets DC while visiting friend in Los Angeles from Germany. (anyone know AD's maiden name?).
2002-2009: DC and AD adopt girls while living in California. AD does volunteer work with an adoption support organization. (earliest estimate is based on fact that oldest daughter was born in Oct 2000.)
2005 – 2012: DD lived in Koehne, HI. (Moved from Rochester NY in Mar 2005.) [all per DD slideshare resume dated June 2016]
• Mar 2005 – May 2006: DD works for Fairmont Commercial Lines in Honolulu
• May 2006 – Oct 2008: DD works for First Insurance Company of Hawaii
• Oct 2008 – March 2012: DD is Director of Operations for HEMIC
By 2009, latest - DC/AD move to Hawaii (Maui?). AD (and DC?) eventually end up in Honolulu area.

~ 2010 - DC/AD separate.
Mar/Apr 2011 - DC/AD divorce; DD/TLD divorce. DC and AD share custody of the girls

Nov 9/11: restraining order issued against DD/AD. (complainants are the Barbers)
Nov/Dec 2011: Doehms make girls attack Barbers’ vehicles when driving by (per CB). CB reports to police. They suggest contacting CPS.
Dec/11 to Mar/12: Cara Barber reports the Doehm’s to CPS “on at least 2 occasions”. CPS says nothing they can do unless Doehms violate their restraining order again. (per CB)
Late Mar-early Apr 2012: Barbers move out.
Later April or May 2012: Doehm’s foreclose on house and move to Belize with girls (per CB). Against DC’s wishes. (per CB)
Sep 2012: Photographer posts images from AD/DD wedding.
2012: Doehms settle in San Pedro Belize. Open Rubimoon Boutique. Older girls attend school.
2014: “incident at school” relating to Faye. Faye and possibly the other middle daughter are pulled from school. (per media)
2015: oldest and youngest daughters appear in occasional photos modelling Rubimoon wear on AD’s FB or Rubimoon FB.
Sep 2015: family goes on month-long trip to Mexico. (Merida/Playa del Carmen). AD has cosmetic surgery on legs. All 4 girls are present, but Faye rarely appears in photos. Never smiles.
Feb 2016: AD in Bali
July 2016: Oldest and youngest daughters modelling with Rubimoon tote bag.
Sep 2016: Repost of a photo of girls in costumes at WalMart (excluding Faye) taken from one year prior.
Oct 2016: AD at trade show in Florida
Dec 2016: youngest daughter in Rainbow dress.
Dec 2016: AD modelling on dock
Feb 20 2017: AD “back in Belize” (had probably been in Bali)
Apr 4 2017: AD “waiting for test results”
Apr 29 2017: AD “back from 2 surgeries”.
May 12/13 2017: AD in West Palm Beach Fla.
May 27 2017: image of boxes in San Pedro apt packed with stuff (not Rubimoon clothing) on AD’s FB page
May 28 2017: image of AD on dock. Someone asked where they moved. Response from someone else was “to the north”. (I presume that this is when the moved to Grand Caribe.)
June 2017: “I love now”. Repost of youngest in Rainbow dress. AD exercising in new apartment. “I only focus on what I love”. “Focus on what we want today.”

July 3 2017: DC coming to visit daughters. AD calls emergency services to say Faye is unresponsive. Faye Lin dies.
July 6 2017: AD and DD detained by police.
July 7 2017: media reports that LE says that Fay Lin’s autopsy revealed old and new injuries and evidence of sexual abuse. Heart was punctured by broken ribs. Declare her death a homicide. Locals hold protest.

I am inclined to agree that maybe they overstated the situation in the beginning.

I agree that we don't know all of the facts and therefore too early to judge exactly who did what when to who...that's why I'm interested in some context (timeline) so that when we do get more facts (hopefully!) then we can see how they fit in.

One point I meant to make on the timeline, was that the comments/points made by CB are just one person's comments. We don't know much about her and we don't know if she had a big axe to grind.

Regardless, something happened to that child. And the other middle child has rarely been seen in the past couple of years. So something isn't right. That's pretty obvious.

Some people in the comments section implied that she ruined the island. I don't think that's the case. It's a terrible, horrible human story, but it won't affect the island's economy or image. (Unethical real estate promoters, or criminals who hurt tourists are much more likely to hurt the image of San Pedro. Or residents screaming and yelling "murderer" at someone and following them, might throw some people off.)

I'd like to take some time tomorrow to point out a few of them and some other stuff tomorrow when I'm not so tired. My question is , do I need to post links to everything I write ?, it was stated the DC arrived on July 3, the day Faye was pronounced dead, for "regular visitation". However another article says he came in on July 7. His attorney stated in one article he had difficulty with visitation as it was limited to weekends only. The day Faye was pronounced dead was a Monday . I also have other questions and things I'd like to add( I'm here in belize. Must everything have a link supporting what I want to add?
And what about things I've heard etc. ? Can I share?
Btw , anke was allegedly seen in corozal( yesterday or day before ,, belizes closest town to northern Mexico border. David doehm was here on a private boat with only boat captain filling up the boat then leaving..,
And also, for the record, many are upset with the few people who followed and taunted anke in her trip here. Many belizeans I know do not support the lynch mob mentality displayed. If anke had called the police during this harrassnent etc they would have responded and been obligated to take those people into custody for harassment
There's more, but I'm ready for bed and wanted to see what my restrictions etc are before I contribute to this thread

mcaar, if you have special inside knowledge then you should "flag" yourself to the moderaters of this thread and they will help you become a verified insider. If you don't know how to do that, then just let us know and one of us will do that for you.

As a local, you do not have to identify yourself as an "insider". I believe you can discuss local information and what you have personally observed. I also believe it is up to the members to decide if they choose to believe what you are posting.

Locals:
We no longer verify locals. It became way too time consuming and we didn't feel it was necessary. However, if a moderator deems that a poster seems to be more of an insider than a local, we will ask that you become verified before posting information that is not in the mainstream media. Otherwise, you are free to post about your area and what you've observed.

Police bring David and Anke Doehm to the island in continued murder investigation

David and Anke Doehm,who remain the prime suspects in the death of Anke’s adoptive daughter 13-year-old Faye Lin Cannon, travelled to San Pedro Town on Saturday, July 29th, accompanied by an entourage of police officers. Upon their arrival shortly after 10AM, the American couple were escorted to their clothing boutique located on Barrier Reef Drive, where police conducted an inspection inside the establishment.

During the inspection on Saturday, police officers along with personnel from the forensic department inspect the Doehm’s store for over five hours. Police officers at the scene did not offer any comments, except that they were doing their job and continuing their investigation into the case

The couple will have a partial disclosure of their case at the Magistrate Court in Belize City on August 24th and a preliminary inquiry into Faye’s death scheduled for October 5th.

In the meantime, Faye’s remaining three siblings are in the care of Human Development and a counsellor from the U.S Embassy, receiving care and treatment.
