Bicyclist James Sheron on life support after a hit-and run incident that happened March 1, 2023. <modsnip> The driver was driving a blue four door sedan, but they have no other information at this time. I found a video with the incident partially shown and victim blurred, in the local news. It does show the car but I am not sure to link it as it can be upsetting to family and friends.
Hope they can release a still pic of the car instead. I think this person will be caught because of the video.

IMHO I cannot wrap my head around any one hitting some one with their car and not stopping. I might be overly sensitive to this type of situation because two cars going in opposite directions ran my husband off the road and into a large truck. Neither car stopped. My husband was lucky and survived but this poor cyclist didn't get the chance. I am sure LE is looking at video, car sales and trade ins. I personally could never do that to any one or any thing. I hope they find this person and get them off the streets for a very long time. Grrrr

Yes I was just about to post this same article. I have yet to hear from the family, and the timing is still strange. I only know the family (again grown children now, that I have known very well quite literally from birth so not just a random posting), were sharing the passing on posts on the 6th. Maybe for some reason the media couldn't divulge the news for the lapse of time for some reason? No idea. I sure hope this lead gets somewhere though!

sorry, still learning where to put things, brand new here. Sooo....we can't we delete, anything? Just trying to share that he was caught, but I think I started a new case/post...so tried to delete, can't... so tried to erase, can't... so I'm just keeping here what I think I should have deleted I guess, as that's the only option once you post? (Admins? I will email for help I guess after I go through all the tutorial tips and FAQs etc if still needed! Thanks for your patience! )

They have found their suspect! The driver has been identified and charged with second degree murder, but he is still at large. Hopefully this info will in the article along with the actual known perpetrator will lead to an arrest soon! Thanks all. Blessings...)

I’m just guessing but like we were talking before, I think they had some info earlier and went public when they didn’t nab him at first.

He appears to be smirking in the mug shot. Let's hope he gets some jail time, I have little faith in our justice system.
Afraid his defense will claim no proof it was murder in the first and make a plea for accidental manslaughter of some kind.
This is just my opinion and I know nothing of criminal procedures, just enough to know victims rarely get justice.

Often the drivers are impaired and drive on hoping no one catches them.

That would be my guess since they haven't found him. Add dumbass to his rap sheet, if he is grinning like that after having just been arrested with facing a second degree murder charge!
