There are four huge holes, to me, all problematic when trying to tie together accident/abuse/lying:
1) Why take three years to report an accident and instead face first degree murder charges?
2) Why cover up an accident by hiding a body? No reason given there. It is not like Cindy wasn't going to notice Caylee was missing.
3) Why frame her: you frame someone when you want them to get the blame, and Baez put no reason out there for George wanting Casey convicted of murder.
4) Although wildly provoking, Baez just cannot tie abuse to any element of this crime.

Yes and if you think that your mean old abusive dad is trying to frame you for murder, WHY would you make it SOOO easy for him and keep on insisting on a stupid invisinanny story that was already debunked, instead of saying, look, it was an accident, ask him where the body is.

Have not read the entire thread yet, but i`m positive if George found caylee`s body floating in a pool. He`d call 911 immediately.

Heck, his shed gets broken into, and he filed an immediate police report.
George is a law abiding citizen. His daughter- is a murderer.

We have a fence around our backyard ,but I've decided to put a safety pool fence around the pool ,itself.
There is a child that was in my son's special ed class last year.She had a near drowning brain injury at 2 years old.
After reading some more of this info on drowning ,while I was looking for how long a child would stay submerged,I've decided the expense and the unsightly fencing ,is a small price to pay .
We have alarms with armbands that go off when they get wet,but the more safety measures in place the better.
Caylee didn't drown,but maybe the info from her case will save other kids from drowning.

Didn't CA previously say ICA's bedroom door was closed (but she heard them breathing........). On the stand she also said that they had childproofed, including the doorknob covers that keep kids from opening the doors. So does that mean this happened after CA went to work, and after ICA was up and about and had let Caylee out of the room? What was she doing while Caylee wandered the house? Was GA up and about then? And I also can't picture CA or GA going to bed without checking that the sliders were locked. Even if only locked by an in-door sliding lock, those are still difficult for a 2-3 yr old to manipulate, and then there is the physical strength ir takes to push the door, also not easy for a toddler. Holes, holes, holes!

You are right, obviously. UNLESS, he was trying to frame Casey. And I think that is where this speeding bus is going. Notice how baez emphasized the super secret meeting George had alone with LE, where he talked about the trunk smell. And he used the duct tape on the gas cans and then called LE about them being stolen. Baez is trying to say that George framed Casey for this. imoo

That could very well be what JB is trying to imply, but I don't think it will sit right with a jury. If that were his intention, he could have done that by simply calling 911 and saying he saw his daughter choking the baby or something absurd. I don't see something this elaborate and convoluted as a way someone like GA would deal with anyone. He is pretty upfront when he gets mad. ICA on the other hand seems to be quite the little plotter and schemer, getting lots of her ideas from TV and movies.

I keep thinking about her "favorite" movie on her MySpace page. Natural Born Killers with Juliette Lewis playing a girl named Mallory Knox whose boyfriend helps her kill her physically abusive father and her enabling mom. As we know, Juliette Lewis plays quite the part there. The One Tree Hill episode of the fake kidnapping, the movie she rented with AL that night that involves duct tape and someone wrapped in plastic in the trunk of a car. The Menendez brothers and other famous killers have also taken advantage of that strategy.

All of ICA's lies are detailed and elaborate and involve situations where she is painted the victim and conspiracies could abound. I just don't see a jury buying that her dad shows that kind of calculation especially after they have such evidence of her own elaborate lies. This has KC Koolaid all over it, imo.

THANK YOU. I doubt that she would have had much clothing on that would have trapped enough air to stay buoyant. In fact she had a pullup diaper on supposedly. That in itself would drag her underwater pretty quickly.

That poor child was underwater IF she drowned. There is no way that George dove in, dragged her out, stood there sopping wet, and then Baez left that out of the story. Baez said nothing at all like that in his version of the story.

Well, my husband is home every night, so if he didn't appear on my hip by the time dinner was ready, I'd be on the phone looking for him before the gravy got cold.

But I see your point. The thing is, ICA was a grown woman. Despite the fact that she lived at home, GA and CA were also lead to believe that she often worked out of town, spent many nights with her new boyfriend, spent nights with the imaginary Zanny, and sometimes slept over at girlfriends houses. Additionally, from what I've gathered, GA was under the gun timewise, wasn't he? He needed to get the car home and needed to get to work. So I can understanding him waiting to call and check on ICA a bit later that evening. IF that's what he did. I don't know that either him or CA didn't try to call ICA from the tow yard.

I have been following this case the entire time, read the Docs, heard the interrogations of ICA, listened to her friends and families interviews, Have known she told all those lies to her f&f, but I didn't feel the full impact until Cindy testified, I have NEVER seen a person who could lie about everything so elaborately, (well maybe Eliza Baker) this woman, made up emails, work ID's, boyfriends, nannies and friends. I am just stunned by this. Cindy laid it out well and you can tell she was stunned by the full impact of those lies herself. ICA is devoid of any human emotions, I saw pure cold hate in her eyes when her mother was crying over Caylee, it was a glimpse of pure evil, I felt fear just looking at her expression, IMO she wanted to kill Cindy Poor Caylee is that the last look she ever saw I wonder?

The reason I ask is that HLN re-ran his opening statements today. I had not seen them in their entirety. AND...in light of CA's testimony, I was just floored at how he trashed George, Cindy, Lee, Krunk, all of Orlando LE, Dr. Vass....I couldn't believe what I was watching. I wonder what he would do if he was faced with Shirley Plesea?

I apologize if this has been said since I only got through half of the posts but my mind is screaming that if GA was intent on covering up the "accidental drowning" to protect his daughter from prosecution or whatever reason JB wants to think, then why wouldn't he call the cops and have ICA scream kidnapping that day or even that week? Why wait 31 days? The 31 days screams of ICA's behavior i.e. waiting until the graduation party to say she's not graduating, waiting until the birth to announce she's pregnant, waiting until her death penalty trial starts to claim an accident...
He would have the plan hatched and ready to go not say let's wait and see if anyone notices Caylee is not around...:banghead:
