I dunno, if it was just one mentally unstable woman I might buy she was getting second thoughts about her wild sexual history, maybe some religious pressures causing extreme anxiety and guilt about having sinned, and some kind of a mental breakdown or a defense mechanism turning that around in her mind as rape, but none of the women we've seen on video striked me that way.
It's such a recurrent pattern with Cosby and no other celeb who would have been having equally wild sex in the sixties and seventies has got 55 women saying he raped them, as far as I know, that it seems to me like it's easier to explain assuming that Cosby has something wrong with him (namely he is a raping sociopath) than assuming that coincidentally several women who had contact with Cosby have simultaneous weird memory problems.
There could be a couple who made it up but I think once it's been established that he probably did it once, twice, thrice... then he's already a serial rapist and I don't feel like I need to be looking for reasons to discredit women who say they were his victims.
BBM for focus and jumping off, not aimed at you, Donjeta.
Off the top of my head:
Warren Beatty, anyone?
Jack Nicholson?
Wilt Chamberlain claimed to have had sex with 20,000 women.
A rudimentary Google search produces no stories of rape accusations against them.
So weird then that Bill Cosby is the only famous horndog from those days--that I can think of, anyway--who has the misfortune of being accused 40 years after the fact of rape, when it might have actually been consensual and the women just aren't remembering properly or trying to accomplish, I don't know, what?
The majority of the accusers aren't seeking damages. So why are they lying--or more kindly, rewriting history? Because they've suddenly turned prudish and ashamed of their wild decades-old pasts?
