What is all comes down to is I'm so sick of children being hurt by the selfish actions of the adults around them.

Speaking to society at large... we all need to do a better job watching out and caring for each other.

The paradox here is that while cases like this one shine a spotlight on this need, they also drive a wedge of fear between people. But it goes beyond this. We live in a sociopathic nation, a society in which compassion is openly scorned, in which the poor are villified, in which the sick are ignored and often blamed. We have a society that operates like a herd of gazelles, and when the Lions of misfortune strike we scatter and leave the slow and weak and unlucky to perish -- while congratulating the Lions for another successful kill and ourselves for surviving and feeling nothing.

We need to do better. Seriously.

Um...no disrespect, but we must live in different nations.

The nation I live in is full of compassionate and kind people, has vast networks of support for those less fortunate, and is populated by the most decent, honest, hard-working people on earth. Having just lived through two years of my wife battling cancer, I have seen a lot of that first hand, up close and personal. And I see a lot of it right here on this website, too. And all around me, in my church, my community, my local PTA and countless other places.

From KMBC's Maria Antonia: The investigator leaves the house after talking this morning to what appeared to be both the mom and dad of the missing toddler. He didn't comment on his conversations with the family, and when I asked him about the team he's assembling he says some will be arriving and only said there would be several people.

This is really the weirdest missing persons case I've seen. Why isn't the family pleading publicly, why is this a media circus, why is everyone so evasive? What purpose does this BS bring, he appears to be not so professional. Compare this to Lauren Spierer's parents. But what is the motive for DB hurting the child, nothing clearly makes sense. Beyond frustrating!!!

It is very small, considering this is a young child that is missing.
