The parents should be on camera pleading for the baby's life. Nothing else matters.

AMEN HS!

The parents not doing so hints highly (to me) that they know what happened and where baby Lisa is. :banghead:

This is really the weirdest missing persons case I've seen. Why isn't the family pleading publicly, why is this a media circus, why is everyone so evasive? What purpose does this BS bring, he appears to be not so professional. Compare this to Lauren Spierer's parents. But what is the motive for DB hurting the child, nothing clearly makes sense. Beyond frustrating!!!
BBM IMO the family is not being public anymore because when they were, they got crucified! They can not win. The media is creating the circus and a lot of people are feeding off of it.

Are there examples of where this tactic worked, or should they do it just for show?

Common sense would be to try to personalize the baby, call out to the abductor, use Lisa's name, tell what she needs food wise, when to do what, etc.

This has been a vicious chirade, and the public pressure to cut the bs might do some good.

I would suppose some members of the public liking it. But would kidnappers really care about the parents feelings? Doubtful. MOO.

Well little kienan's case it worked there, but that is such an anomaly. AND Le knew who the perp was, how they might react to a plea.

In this case, a plea could make him angrier or feel guiltier and get rid of the baby due to that. I wouldn't be making any more public pleas without LE's profilers saying it won't hurt.

How so? Just basing this on being 200 miles from KC and relying on internet reporting in the Star and the local TV dot.coms, it seems as if the media is being balanced in also reporting other aspects of the case.
I don't see how trying to call her having a 'checkered' past or 'who is she at the store with that is not her husband' is balanced. I could go on, but these are the two that bother me the most. I see them just thriving on creating drama when there is none.

I thought they did that last week....

And we are talking about a baby, not a pet rabbit. This has been a pathetic effort to get their baby back.

Gotcha. Forgot the "checkered past" debacle.

But coverage of the search for the handyman guy seems to have been ample.

LE has encouraged them to talk to the media.

IMO The media is focused on building a case against the mother.

LE will work from the inner circle and that -in this case -means the mom because she was the last person who admits seeing the baby last.

I can't imagine what she's feeling if she didn't have something to do with the baby's disappearance.

I personally think she knows something.

They should do it every day. imo
Plead, cry, scream for the baby's return. Just like Sharon R, Mark K, Mark L.

They did and nobody was happy then either.

I still think she is innocent. They get the same amount of grief whatever they do and are desperately looking for solid advice (LE who believes you done it isn't a place to turn to).

I don't believe the media is creating anything fictional. It's the parents who initiated the drama by calling police and reporting a kidnapped baby.

I respectfully disagree. LE will do whatever it takes to find the baby and the real kidnapper. If LE is focused on the parents there's a reason.

None of those parents turned around and told the public that they had failed a poly nor did they stop cooperating with police. Making a second public plea for the return of Lisa at this point would be absurd.

Susan Smith made a public plea and she was very guilty of harming her sons.
